We bought this in 2017, and it still works now. We have taken it everywhere, it has travelled with us on numerous occasions, it's been abroad and to every hotel we've been to since buying it and it's never failed to work once.It gives options of colour change, with lots of different shades of colour, or you press a button on the side to set a particular colour. It also has a warm white light option if you need it to be a bit brighter.It really is worth every penny. 7 years still going strong, can't recommend it enough.We have even trodden on it (accidently, my dopey husband) and it didn't even break, it just mishaped the light part slightly.Highly recommend this if you're looking for a fab night light for your kids room, your lounge, or for travel.

I bought this night light so I could have the area of my bedroom where my bed is lit up so I could easily see where my bed is in the dark. I does work for that but unfortunately it's too bright for me to have plugged in all night. I have to unplug it once I'm in bed or it keeps me awake. This night light would be perfect for anyone with a fear of the dark as it will light up your whole bedroom. This night light makes a good mood light. The white mode is a lot brighter than the colour changing mode.

Bought this for my 3yr old daughter who was getting a bit scared of the dark. It is not too bright as to disturb sleep, but bright enough to enable her to see her way around her room. She loves the pink and green colours the best. It is exactly as it is described, so I am not sure what the negative reviews are about.Also, I saw someone say they sent it back and they doubt that the light detector works??!?!! Absolute nonsense. It works a treat. It automatically goes off when I open the curtains, and goes on at night as it gets dark.Its also so much more convenient than a lamp as my daughter has a plug right above her bedside table. So it doesn't have the risk of getting knocked off in the night. Definitely would recommend!!

I bought this as a nightlight for my 3 year old's room (we have a gro clock, but had to turn the blue backlight off as the blue was keeping him up when he woke up in the night). We froze it on the warm orange light and it's working brilliantly. It doesn't turn itself off in the day as the room doesn't get light enough, but that doesn't matter, and in every other respect it's brilliant. It's cool to the touch and bright enough to light the room far more than a traditional plug in nightlight, but not so bright that my son can't sleep - he chooses to go to sleep facing it most nights. And the best part? From night one my son has got back to sleep in seconds and we don't get woken up! Hoooraaaaaayyy!

Auraglow is a good brand, well built and reliable. I bought this to put on the landing or in a child's bedroom.It's too bright and worse still: if you select a colour and leave the light turned on all the time then you can stay with the colour you've chosen. But if you use the dusk til dawn function, the colour changes every few seconds. You can stop the cycle on your chosen colour, but when it turns itself off and then back on again it cycles through the various colours again.
