I have a jar opener exactly like this that I got from Pampered Chef several years ago. And, I'm sure I paid a lot more for it at the time. When my daughter moved into her apartment she really wanted one for herself. It's one of most used kitchen tools! Love it!

This is the best device to open jars and bottles! This works wonderful for seniors that have trouble opening things!

I bought this because I had a similar jar opener that worked great. This jar opener sucks. It only has teeth on one side and does not grip the jars like the one having teeth on both sides. With this opener, you have to use heavy pressure pushing the opener against the jar lids. And even then it doesn't work that great. With my arthritic hands, it's useless.

Easy to use and I haven't found anything it won't open

Great to open tight lids. Especially coke lids

Had issues with opening jars. Teeth did not grip the jars all that good.

Doesn't open all jars or bottles easily. If you want to see it mounted under a cabinet, where you can have good access you may have to add extra wood under the cabinet and fasten it to the wood if the shelf is recessed. Could be used inside a pantry under a shelf for easier access. Could be used as a hand held. Hope this helps.
