AVOID...this is NOT I repeat NOT magic sand or kinetic sand. It is more like putty. The amount you get is disgraceful, barely enough to fill one of the moulds. The picture on the front of the box is misleading you only get 3 small moulds and not the castle and as I say not enough sand to do anything with. The figures are cheap cardboard most of which were peeling when I opened the box. My 4 year old granddaughter bought this with her birthday money and even though she played with it you could tell she wasn't happy with it. You could fit all of the contents in a very small box but you get a large one. Like I say utter rubbish

My little one loved this, and had loads of fun playing with it.It doesn't actually feel like sand in the hand and doesn't crumble but that's a good thing. You need to make sure you have a tray or a separate "sand play table" as it does tend to get everywhere if dropped. It will vacuum OK but we are still trying to get it out from between the gaps in our dining room table.The sand itself doesn't hold its structure for very long so don't bank on building a huge structure. TIP: The harder you press the sand into the moulds the longer they hold the structure.However I do like the fact that it crumbles slowly as it made my daughter interested in it and prompted questions about why it was doing that.The reason for my 4 star rather than a 5 is that there is nowhere near enough sand to build the castle that is on the front of the box and that made my daughter upset as she didn't understand why she couldn't make the castle.There should have been a suitably sized photo that was realistic. You wouldn't expect to buy a Lego toy of a car only to find out you only had enough parts to build the chassis.

This is a great set! It's our first venture into kinetic sand and my 5 year old daughter was super excited to find a princess set! The moulds are brilliant and the princesses and jewels are an added bonus too.The sand itself is really good. It's very pliable and smooth and soft and it sticks to itself very well and holds its form nicely.It's also really handy that it comes with a plastic box to store the sand to stop it drying out.I'd definitely buy this set or items by the same manufacturer again.As a side note, we also bought a separate box of kinetic sand made by Cra-Z-Sand and that is really rubbish, especially in comparison to this. Doesn't hold its shape for more than 2 seconds and is very crumbly and sandy

My 4 year old loves this! She is using the moulds to create towers and houses as well as castles. She is also using the sand without moulds to create scenes and decorate with the jewels. The only thing that would have been useful is if it were to come in a pull out cardboard box rather than lose as then she could keep the sand contained rather than all over the table and we have had to switch out the plastic container as that broke on the first use but the toy itself is really lovely, perfect for creative little (and older) princesses - very therapeutic for me to play with too!

I bought this for my 6 year old daughter, she loves to create little scenes using the moulds, jewels and princesses provided (although I'm not sure the one pictured on the box is achievable!). It has a lovely soft smooth texture which forms nicely and as an added bonus feature it vacuums up nicely without sticking to carpets!

This would be a good set but I have only given 2 stars as I am appalled by the amount of sand provided. To make the castle in the picture on the box, which my daughter wanted to do, you must need at least another 3 bags. I think this is terrible value for money. It was a birthday present from my older to younger daughter and we are all very disappointed. :(

Kinetic sand is wonderful. It is the favourite activity of both my grandchildren, aged four and two. My princess obsessed little granddaughter loves this set, and my grandson enjoys burying the jewels in the sand, to then dig up the "buried treasure". Both children are having great fun with the cardboard figures, who go on "adventures" in the sand castles.

It doesn't feel as nice as Kinetic Sand, my daughter likes it though. Nice colour and the gems are fun but the princesses are a bit pointless.
