Beautifully fabricated, easy to use and very quiet!
The Continental Shift's coffee grinder is beautifully made and such a pleasure to use! My ex and I used the Hario Ceramic Coffee Mill "Skerton" for several years and I thought it was the bees knees. When I had to get my own grinder I was impressed with the aesthetics of the Continental Shift's stainless steel design, and wanted to avoid a glass container that might break. Now that I've been using this for several months I can say I like it much better than the Hario. First, the grinder is much more quiet. Even though they both have ceramic burrs, the Continental is just smoother, quieter and more pleasant to use first thing in the morning. The pieces fit together very precisely and it's very easy and simple to load the beans, add the top and handle, grind, and then separate the base and empty the grinds into the french press. Finally, the Continental is much slimmer so it's easier to grip (especially with smaller female hands). The only downsides to this grinder is that the Continental only holds about 4 heaping tbsp of beans, so if you have a french press that is larger than 1.5 L (or you like your coffee very strong) you'll have to grind the beans in two batches. Because the grinder is quite slim, the opening at the top is a bit narrow so a few beans tend to bounce out when filling the grinder. Finally, since the handle is not screwed onto the top, occasionally if you aren't applying downward force while grinding the handle will pop off the top, but for me this happens rarely and the convenience of having the handle come on/off easily is worth this small inconvenience.

The grinder is working great for our morning coffee and our afternoon cup
The grinder is working great for our morning coffee and our afternoon cup. The grinder is smaller than I expected it to be, butwe go camping and vacation quite often, so this coffee grinder will be very helpful. The results we get when we grind our coffee withthis grinder is the perfection we expect. Thank you for your product.

Good coffee grinder but not speedy
This product is high quality, simple to use and makes a delicious cup of coffee. The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is that it is a bit time consuming. I mostly make a pour over cup and that requires a very fine grind and with this grinder it takes a few minutes of steady quick grinding. I tried it on a thicker grind (for French press) and that went quicker. If you enjoy the ritual and have a little extra time in the morning this is for you. It’s also great to bring camping of if you have a power outage.

This product turned out to be a really great multi-purpose grinder
This product turned out to be a really great multi-purpose grinder. Originally, I got it for just the sake of grinding coffee beans when I travel but it also has a ton of value around the house with spices. Seems like you can easily grind up just about anything you want to with it. I've used it to grind peppercorn and it works so much better than anything I've ever used! It's very easy to use just keep an eye on the small parts if you take it apart for cleaning!

Quality!!!
I was on the hunt for an effective pepper mill and this coffee grinder appeared in my searches. The seller mentioned that he uses it for pepper himself. So, i took a punt and purchased one. I can't speak for it as a coffee grinder, as i already have one of those, but as a peppercorn grinder it is fantastic! It collects in the bottom cup large amounts of grind very quickly and then i just pour from the cup. It's def a 5 star from me!

Excellent quality Manual Grinder A+
I purchased this as all the electric grinders I looked at had a minimum grind of around 4 cups. With this I can grind exactly as little or as much as I need. Excellent quality, really easy to use, and gives a great grind. Have used fine grind for espresso and medium grind for cafetiere. Grinder sits beautifully next to my espresso machine, and doesn't take up much space. Would highly recommend if you don't want to spend the extra on an electric grinder, or if you only want to grind for a cup or two at a time.
