I usually don't take the time to review my Amazon purchases, but this faux wood fireplace mantel is SO amazing that I felt it was my responsibility to tell the world about it! We just moved into an apartment with a simple rectangular gas fireplace that has seen a better day, and the mantel has not only classed up the fireplace BUT the whole apartment, as well! If I've made a better purchase in my life, I don't remember when!

Wanted a slim mantle that didn’t stick out from the wall much. Painted black as we bought unfinished. The poly material isn’t very strong so be careful moving and installing. If someone bumps into this I’m worried it will break apart which is the reaon for the three star review. Didn’t come with any mounting screws so be prepared to buy your own. Finished product looks nice and is the look we wanted.

Did not look natural enough

It's cute, but there was no mounting board with it... so now I am going to have to see if I have anything I can use to mount the mantle to the wall.
