Keeper of the 7 Keys Pt.1

The only 2 Helloween albums worth owning (sorry guys), apart from the not bad Walls of Jericho, are the 2 Keeper albums. Basically a blue print for all power metal from that point on and just stunningly over the top, they shine as beacons in the metal wonderland of the 1980s. The first of the now trilogy, or guadrilogy etc is the best, but only by a power chord or 2.'Initiation' sets the scene with faux trumpets and fanfare, evoking memories of 80s fantasy films like Krull and Hawk the Slayer. It's pure cheese but that's why it's so good. Then 'I'm Alive' screams in and tears through its 3 and a half minutes breathlessly. 'A Little Time' is slower but heavy and full of melody. 'Twilight of the Gods' is a monster of a track, heavy, tuneful, intricate and epic all at the same time - a true classic. ' A Tale that Wasn't Right' is a ballad but one that's rousing and placed perfectly after the war of the previous track, as it laments before the thunder of 'Futureworld'. Another stone cold classic and one that will be remembered as other greats such as Metallica's Master of Puppets. It's silly, but then so is the whole album. It ends superbly with the untouchable 'Halloween', as with 'Futureworld' it is set in stone as classic and simply must be heard to be believed. The riff after the opening is one of the all time greats.Basically an album with 6 tracks and 2 bookend instrumentals but it completely blows you away. Up there languishing with the likes of Number of the Beast in the metal Hall of Fame.

Great cd, not so much big fan of power metal but this cd and the second follow is heavy and it is good.That cd made me to listen and buy Part II, and check all Helloween albums and defeniently buy them even if there not success ones.I must admit that perhaps Helloween is the only power metal band i'm listening to.

I can sum up this band in three words; German Iron Maiden. That's who they remind of of at least. The album is highly enjoyable, and I would recommend it

first saw this band at the monsters of rock castle donington .england.they played alot off this album and were outstanding as the opening act .kiske is brilliant on vocals.an anthemic catchy thrashy monster buy it nige

Die beiden Keeper-Alben muss jeder Metalfan haben. Michael Kiske, damals gerade 18 oder 19, singt wie ein junger Gott. Die hohe Stimmlage ist sonst nicht so ganz meins, aber Kiske kann's halt eben. Von den beiden Keeper-Alben mag ich persönlich Pt. 2 lieber, gerade der Titeltrack ist ein Hochgenuss. Weikath und Hansen an den Gitarren, was soll man sagen, die können's eben auch, sind ja auch quasi die Erfinder des Melodic-Speed-Metals. Ich habe Helloween nach 30 Jahren wieder entdeckt und bin genauso begeistert wie früher. Die beiden Scheiben sind bei mir erst mal wieder rauf und runtergedudelt. Dass nun Kiske wieder ein Mitglied der Metalgemeinde ist und mit Helloween auf Tour geht, finde ich schon auch klasse und würde sie mir gerne mal live geben.

Ich höre Hevay Metal seit 1991 und Helloween war eine der ersten Bands an die ich mein Herz verloren hatte.Es gab auch bei späteren Alben immer noch starke Momente, aber das hier auf den Keeper Alben ist schon Perfektion und muss sich hinter internationalel Klassiker wie Number of the Beast oder Painkiller nicht verstecken.Ohne Hansen und Deris Böses zu wollen ist Michael Kiske defintiv die Stimme für Helloween und wohl auch einer der besten Sänger die Deutschland hervorgebracht hat.Die Songs sind alle top und auch nach 30 Jahren immer noch voller Energie.Pflicht für Liebhaber des klassischen Heavy und Power Metal.

Guitarras, batería, bajo y voz están increíbles en todos los temas. Riffs potentes, ritmos intensos, batería cargada de energía y una voz espectacular.Siempre me saca una sonrisa pensar que Kiske no tenía ni 20 años cuando grabó estos dos discazos.Los temas añadidos a la versión original del vídeo son excelentes y a mí me encantan.Yo pagué 5 €

Il primo disco con Kiske alla voce. Il disco con cui gli Helloween si sono consacrati come gli dei del power metal. Qui c'è la nascita di un genere; qui c'è un signor disco di un gruppo che stava esplorando territori nuovi e lo stava facendo con una classe immensa. Sull'album in sè non si deve dire troppo, perché si deve solo ascoltare, anzi si deve solo godere di esso. I brani: tutti dei grandi classici ed è quindi inutile citarne uno piuttosto che un altro. Impossibile non averlo.

... und sollte daher in keiner Sammlung eines Metal-Fans fehlen. Die beiden Keeper-Alben waren neben div. Maiden-Alben meine ersten Erfahrungen mit Metal und es war wie eine Offenbarung.Die Gitarristen leisten sehr gute Arbeit, viele schöne Melodien und Soli, knallharte Riffs und dazu der Gesang von M. Kiske, der später leider andere Wege ging (wie auch Kai Hansen). Vermutlich wären Helloween heute viel größer, wären die beiden geblieben.So bleiben immer 2 Top-Alben, die man immer wieder gern anhört, ohne das Verlangen zum weiterzappen zu bekommen.Zudem sind die Alben wohl wegweisend für so manche Power-Metal-Band der heutigen Zeit.

Sans doute l'un des albums de metal les plus célèbres, Keeper of the seven Keys part 1 (1987) a été copié et imité par des dizaines de formations loin d'égaler le talent de la bande menée par le guitariste Kai Hansen.La musique est à l'image de la pochette : sympathique, accrocheuse, kitsch aussi, mais belle. Les parties de guitares sont ébouriffantes, les compositions entraînantes (mention au long et fabuleux “ Halloween ”, proche du quart d'heure, où effroi et humour sont parfaitement mêlés), le tempo élevé les chœurs réussis.Alors pourquoi ne pas mettre 5 étoiles ? Parce que Michael Kiske a tendance à être pénible quand il monte trop dans les aigus, parce qu'on peut déceler l'inspiration Iron Maiden dans plusieurs passages, parce que la ballade est dispensable, enfin parce que le côté années 80 a pris quelques rides (... !).Il n'empêche, on tient là le meilleur opus d'Helloween et un très bon album de speed metal. A posséder dans sa cdthèque.(note : 8,5/10).

Questo disco è senza dubbio una pietra miliare del power metal ... se vi piace iol genere è da avere , questsa bella edizione ha anche qualche bonus track che fa sempre piacere ... alla voce abbiamo Kiske ... Keeper 1 e 2 i metallari lo devono avere ...

Questo fu il vero primo successo degli Helloween in campo internazionale,grazie all'arrivo di M.Kiske,che diede una svolta più melodica alle canzoni pur restando con una vena decisamente speed.A canzoni decisamente speed come I'm Alive o Twilight Of The Gods,si contrappone la mitica Future World molto più orecchiabile ,con un ritornello che non si scorda più,o il lentone di A Tale That Wasn't Right.Sonorità ruvide quindi,ma con vena più melodica del passato,e sempre grandi ritmiche.

Album seminale del genere power, qui in edizione con delle bonus track, carine ma sinceramente riempitive . Per chi adora il genere ancora oggi è uno dei migliori album

A classic power-metal album (together with part 2)! Glorious - excellent for D&D nights!

Yeah, this album is cool. The guitars are precise, well structured and the solos are well written. As are the lyrics. But, for me, a couple of the songs just seemed like they lacked substance and slowed down. I personally like the guitar tuning Michael and Kai used, but some of the songs just felt slower and the vocals a little lackluster. But other listeners may not notice this and will love it. That is perfectly fine. For me, I give the CD a 4. Most of the songs were great.

Bona edición d'un clàssic del heavy-power metal dels 80. Bon so i qualitat. Llàstima que el llibret, al ser format CD és massa menut. Tamany vinil, com l'original, estaria millor. Un Michael Kiske en plenitud i la banda clàssica al 100%. Imprescindible

No podia faltar la parte 1 de la obra maestra de Helloween, al igual que la parte 2, gran calidad de disco e impresion. Sobre los temas no hace falta hablar, ya todo esta dicho. Saludos \m/

Il disco è chiaramente un capolavoro, ma la versione che mi è arrivata non è quella indicata nella foto su Amazon. Delusione incredibile, in quanto acquistato per completare la collezione di ristampe espanse.

No puede faltar en la discografía del amante del Heavy Metal alemán. Todo un clásico 🤟🏼
