I bought two of these door stop alarms primarily since the missus is somehow uncomfortable being alone in our second home abroad. So I ordered two of these ‘guards’ one for the front and back door each.It’s a pretty simple electronic product that has been around for decades - my parents used to have a very similar door stop alarm in the 1980’s, made of plastic and thin metal. But it works well. That is, it will sound the alarm. And it will perhaps cause some small additional obstacle to open a door. It’s reasonably sturdy. But somebody using force will still be able to open any door with such a stopper behind it. Either way, my wife feels much more at ease. And compared to investing 10x more for a half-decent alarm system I would say its good value for money. It does require a 9V battery.Now, since I had these lying around my daughter has put them to use to guard her bedroom. She is suffering quite a bit from a little sweets-snatcher (her younger brother). That tends to sneak into her bedroom, browse through her stuff and help himself to her sweets. The Very loud alarm already gave him a few scares during his frequent raids and might lead him to give up his despicable efforts.So except for the little looter, most are happy and pleased with this door stop alarm.

Bought it for travel and hotel rooms. Depending on the doors sometime has not managed to fit. But works beautifully when it does, loud alarm if door opened. I didn’t know about the batteries it needed, so took it without them on holiday, which was an epic fail.

It works and it is ear splittingly loud! Some reviews say it doesn't fit under the door, but I put it just behind the door (non hinge side) and got my partner to try coming in from outside. The wedge stayed put, the alarm triggered and the door wedged on the device so he couldn't get the door open. I then tried it on some old french doors, with same success. We have a back door which is quite high off the ground, so I simply put the wedge on a block of wood - same success as the front door. I'm ordering two more and will always take one with me when staying in hotels from now on.

make sure guys u know it will fit i bought it without checking but im using it anyway, i think its good its loud! only thing is it should be cheaper than the price given as the quality feels very plastic! but its okay im using it ! hence the 4 star!! good job thanks

Bought this as we have had a few break ins recently, got it, tried it, and very impressed for the price. I posted a few comments on our local neighbour site, so far, quite a few people have now bought this, with over 100 comments, all of which were positive. Easy, cheap and would act as a great deterrent. Can't fault it, except might have been better supplied with battery for which I had to travel a couple of miles there and back.

What a good idea. Feel much safer. I was going to get a lock chain but needed it fitted. £ 82. Decided this was a good alternative. Taking it on holiday too for the hotel door. I like that there's an alarm. Good price.

This is an Amazon Choice Product, which is why I purchased it instead of other models that were available. It stated that a battery was included. It wasn't. I now have to purchase one separately which means this item is NOT value for money. The Door Stop is light weight. The rubber strips on the base came away in my struggle to open the 'door' to the battery compartment. Very disappointing. Unfortunately I don't have time to return it before I need to use it.

Utilisé chez moi et lorsque je suis a l'hôtel... bloque la porte et sonne bien si l'on met l'alarme... Ce n'est pas un moyen de sécurité imparable qui rend mon domicile ou la chambre d'hôtel impénétrable mais c'est un système vraiment très utile je pense. Il ne me viendrait pas a l'idée de m'en passer chez moi ou lorsque je suis a l'hôtel ou en location.

Whenever I turn it on in any other than low sensitivity setting it starts alarming. But you will NOT miss the alarm.
