Essential for Waterproof Gear – Works Like a Charm!
I’ve been using Nikwax TECH WASH for my waterproof jackets, hiking gear, and outdoor clothing, and it does an amazing job at cleaning while maintaining the waterproof properties. Unlike regular detergents, which can break down waterproof coatings, this gently cleans while reviving the fabric’s breathability and water repellency. It’s easy to use—just add it to the washing machine like a normal detergent or hand wash for smaller items. I’ve noticed that after washing, water beads up on my gear again, showing that it really does help restore the waterproof layer. It also removes dirt and odors effectively without damaging the fabric. Pros: Restores and maintains waterproofing Gently cleans technical and outdoor gear Easy to use in a washing machine or by hand Doesn’t leave residue or reduce breathability Works great on Gore-Tex and other waterproof materials Cons: Not a traditional waterproofer, so for full restoration, you may need to follow up with a Nikwax waterproofing treatment Slightly pricey, but worth it to extend the life of expensive gear Overall, Nikwax TECH WASH is a must-have for anyone who owns waterproof clothing or outdoor gear. This product cleans my outdoor clothing everytime. It also provides a waterproof barrier in the worst of weather.

Didn’t work
Disappointed- I washed a lightweight coat expecting g it to be at least shower proof but after about ten minutes In a light downpour, I felt the rain around the shoulders coming through

Great as a washing machine cleaner for my Gore-Tex Berghaus jacket. Instructions are clear and simple. Didn't effect the washing machine, cleaned all of the stains from my light coloured jacket, and applied a further Nikwax product after washing for added protection. 4 stars for price; cheaper elsewhere, this was my own fault and should have checked before buying.
