Perfect for using with the buttons I purchased

I recently wanted to recover a number of cushions that had worn out on some wicker furniture. All the cushions had buttons through them. I bought a couple of packets of metal press together buttons and saw this tool advertised. I couldn't work out from the photo how it worked and ignored it. I then watched a few YouTube video on people using these buttons and thought it looked easy enough.It wasn't, trying to get the material to stay in play while pressing the backs in was a game that swiftly became annoying. I carried on and made 50 buttons, but the material was just a little too loose on all of them and none of them were perfectly round. Good enough for what I wanted but my perfectionist side was just a little irritated.I found I was about 20 buttons short so bought another packet and this time I bought this device. It is amazing, the job is a thousand times easier and the end result is perfect. The bottom half is a semi soft silicone which forces the cloth tight around the button, then forms a lip which naturally curls the material towards the center. A quick press round of the material, then line the slot in the base up with the eye that goes through it and press down with the black back piece. The back piece is shaped to fit the grooved ring in the base and keep it inline. A firm push and you hear or feel the two halves click together. A perfect covered button everytime.Don't be like me and ignore it when Amazon suggests buying it use it from the start.

this is a good idea, however the fabric I was using was reasonably thick and I struggled to push the two halves of the buttons together, had to enlist husband and his rubber mallet for that bit !It is good for getting the fabric round the button and holding it all still while you put the button halves together though so I'm glad I bought it and if I had used thinner fabric I'm sure I would have managed on my own.

However, seller did contact me to see if the product had arrived so I am not at all unhappy with the seller. Unfortunately Amazon back you into a corner when things don’t arrive and somewhat force a refund. I was hoping to give the seller a chance as I don’t think it was their fault the item didn’t arrive / I think more likely the delivery itself failed for some reason. Can’t really comment on the product but I’d hope is better than the tool offered in Prym button packs.Worth a punt I guess - not expensive and if works ok and you’re not needing to do too many covered buttons then much better value than a proper button press at 10+ times the price.

It's good for cotton & thin materials not ideal for upholstry

Really easy to use, first time I’ve ever done anything like this before. Made 53! But you do have to press quite hard so I suggest using a block of wood if your doing a lot. Makes it look a professional job.

Use a thinner fabric it is easier

Great tool for assembling cover buttons

although this tool is all plastic it works really well and seems to hold up even when I tap the top with a hammer to drive the button back on.

Es exactamente como se indica en la descripción. Su uso es muy sencillo y lo importante es que funciona teniendo en una sola pieza diferente medidas de botones. Lo recomiendo.
