To anyone starting out, I recommend that, whilst western playing techniques can be used, deciding to learn the traditional Indian system is best. This can be intimidating at first, but with the help of online resources you'll quickly find it's not as hard as it seems. As always, getting to play is the faster way to learn and, whilst experience in improv helps, it is not essential.For those who wish to play sitar in a band, it is important to note that, since all the strings are tuned to a single key, music tends to be written for a sitar part rather than the vice versa.As for this particular product, it looks and sounds amazing. There are a few minor imperfections in the bodywork, but that is to be expected given a hand made instrument this complex. In my opinion, it adds to the authenticity and charm.This instrument is such a joy to play and it quickly became one of my favourites. I would recommend it to anyone.Much thanks❤️

Not happy , a fret and string broke off first time I played it and never recieved a reply from the seller when i told them
