Great little kennel
a nice little kennel but our supposed jack Russell pup turned out to be a Patterjack ( jack russel x patterdale so she has ended up about 6 inches taller than expected. had we had known this we would have went for the medium sized kennel, however I have simply removed the arched divider so the dog has a bit more room to get in and out and I feel this actually improves the kennel for our dogs needs. this is a very easy option as the divider simply slides in or out prior to fitting the roof .all in all this is a very well made kennel and worth every penny, our pup absolutely loves it and its has kept her nice and warm and dry on these really wet and windy days when she likes to get a bit of fresh air with out getting wet

The Kitty is Using it Now
This was pretty easy to put together. My Neighbor helped me with it.I had started out with getting one of those little plastic igloo-looking cat huts for Tabitha who likes to stay around my backyard. The hut serves its purpose ut when it rains alot the kitty goes and hides underneath a bunch of bushes in the Neighbor's front yard for shelter, because the little plastic cat hut lets the rain blow right on her face, being it isn't very big and the door is right in front. It took a couple of days but today when it started raining alot I looked out a side window and I could see her little face in this new Cat Kennel. She figured out that if she got in there that since the door is on the side, she will no longer get rain in her face. I was so happy to see her there. I call it her "Little House on the Prairie" LOL!. I was thinking that later I might get one of those PVC plastic type doors with the flaps on it so she can stilleasily push her way into it and be able to see out too, hopefully. That way fresh air can still come in a little bit too. I like that the wooden slats on the floor in the "Lounge" area as you first come inhas a slight bit of space between them so that when it rains, if water gets in, it can just go right through the slats to the ground. I also got the idea to buy one of thos short handled mops so that it will be easy to just reach inside and clean it now and then without having to remove the roof.I just wanted to add that I read one review on here where the person was saying something about the side not fitting right or something like that. I thought the same at first until I realised that both of the side panels are not the same. So you have to try it on both sides, then it will fit on one side or the other, and then you will know after that... that the other panel will belong on the opposite side. This is not on the instructions and so I thought it might be helpful if I added that information here.Anyway, I am really happy with the Little House and so is Tabby :)

Best design
Sadly this was delivered with damaged packaging, a piece broken from the roof and damage to one side panel. As my cat was getting wet from his leaking outside house l decided to repair the damage myself rather than return this. The design is the best l’ve seen and l guess mdf is a reasonable choice of material as it means it will be light enough for most people to move. But that also makes it more vulnerable so l’m not sure how long it will last. I’ve put 2 coats of duck back on it, inside and out and we will buy some insulation to cut and fit inside to the floor and outside walls. But even without that my cat seems happy in his donut bed in the sleeping section as no rain is finding it’s way in. And l like that I can put his food in the porch section so he stays dry while he eats and that the feet are protected from the wet. We plan to put hinges on the section of the roof over his sleeping area for easy access for cleaning. If it stands up to the elements l will be happy with my purchase

Good quality buy
Absolutely superb for our cat, unfortunately pushed out by the dog, but keeps him dry, warm and secure.Super quality, the only fault is that the roof does not lift off to give better access for cleaning and bedding change.

Great design and lovely item
This is perfect for our outdoor cat, a stray that adopted us but won't come in the house. Very sturdy and well-built, extremely easy to put together (all pre-drilled), and looks great. The sheltered patio area provides a dry area to leave food if we're not around and the design means the bed entrance is protected from the elements. Our other cats like it too! Delivery was faster than scheduled. Very happy with purchase and highly recommend this item and seller. Thanks!

Great for outdoor cats
We bought this for a neglected cat we look after (but can't take in). He had a plastic kennel but we found the rain got in and we had nowhere dry to stash his food for his daily visits. He loves it! We paired this with a self heating fluffy bed and he has moved in! He is now warm and dry and his food stays safe away from weather and magpies under the covered patio area.We have even noticed his coat seems thicker and he is happier - we like to think his luxury lodge has something to do with it. I can sleep at night knowing our little hobo has somewhere safe, warm and dry to retreat to.
