Razor sharp knives, and I keep it in my RV to sharpen friends knives

It functions almost those really expensive ones. Almost means like 80-85%. The clamp that holds the blade is designed in a way that long kitchen knives will wiggle with little pressure on them when you are applying stone's pressure. I did put some thick duct tape which it helped. Also, it is nearly impossible or not safe to keep a jackknife in that clamp, too shallow and too narrow. Needs definitely a better design. On the long bar that holds the stone, there are no locks that could prevent from over pulling the bar which ends up going beyond stone's distance and damages the edge that I am trying to perfect. That means, with much accuracy, you have to control this stone's range on the edge, pull little more or push too much YOU WILL DAMAGE THE EDGE! For the price range, it is okay to some extent! Want a better device, there are much better ones out there. If you want less expensive, this is better than AliExpress ones. Overall my 4 out of 5 stars means I am satisfied! Good luck!

Simple to set up and use, basically you can't get it wrong! Be sure to get some water based stone lubrication, your stones will last longer, and your knives will be razor sharp.

This sharpener is awkward and clumsy to use. Difficult to set the degree of sharpening angle. Sharpening 'eye guide' is not a smooth sliding motion. After a couple uses, the grit number is shaved off making it difficult to distinguish what grit you want to use. Why isn't the grit on the side of the stone.I'm sorry I didn't return it instead of using it.

Setting the correct angle is convoluted, the numbers fade off the stones very quickly and there's a lot more work in it than lead to believe.
