Great starter/mid range DSLR to learn photography
I think this is a great camera for someone looking to learn manual controls and take better pictures, either moving up from your phone or a basic compact camera. The 18-135 IS USM kit lens is very good as far as kit lenses go and will allow you to take good pictures and video with image stabilisation and quiet focusing while having a very useful range. It is very good value as a kit in the £900 price point which is what I paid for it, considering this lens goes for over £400 retail. The camera menus are logical and easy to understand, usability with the articulating touchscreen is great, Autofocus points are well spread out in the viewfinder and Dual pixel AF is fantastic for video. I would suggest to get used to the viewfinder when taking pictures, it is a much better camera in viewfinder mode especially if you want to use fast shutter speeds. There are a lot of youtube videos around that will guide you through the setup, Tony Northrup's video is highly recommended. This camera is also a very good stepping stone so you can accumulate some good EF L-series lenses that will later allow you to move up to a full frame camera. Canon has the biggest variety of lenses and the second hand market is a great place to find bargains on professional quality lenses. This is what will make the biggest impact on your pictures rather than the body. The wifi functionality is great, I can connect it to an ipad or a computer and control the camera from there or view the pictures as well when they are taken. This means you can tether wirelessly your camera to your tablet or computer and see the pictures as they are taken! Great stuff.I uploaded some pictures taken with the 18-135 IS USM lens in a typical zoo scenario so you can judge for yourself. They have not been processed in any way, these are straight out of the camera. In general this is a very good all round camera that will serve you well. Compared to the 80D, this has a newer processor, images are a bit brighter and so is video. I would still go with the 77D and maybe trade it in for the 90D when it comes out in the future depending on what features it will have.

Excellent Camera for the price
I bought the camera upgrading from a Canon 600D. A decent step up in image quality and noticeable improvement in dynamic range. Although the ISO can be bumped up to 51200, I wouldn't shoot higher than 12,800. In actual noise level performance, it's about one whole stop of improvement over the 600D sensor. The autofocus performance on this camera is very good and much more reliable compared to my older cameras. Shooting in live mode actually focuses quicker than my mirrorless camera. The touchscreen is also very responsive. The wifi transfer and phone tethering app is pretty slick and has worked really well so far.The reason why I chose this over the 800D is because I like having the additional control dials (yet the camera body remains similar in size) which has so far made the shooting experience much slicker. I couldn't justify upgrading to an 80D as the additional cost (for marginally better specs) and the larger body are less appealing to me - however that's all down to personal preference. It's worth noting that the actual image quality would practically be the same across all the current 24mp models of APS-C Canon cameras, so the choice is down to other specs when choosing these range of cameras.

Good deal , great camera!
We bought this 2 weeks ago, to replace our old Canon model. We used this for our Iceland trip for 1 week. Winter time around -7C. The pictures take are incredible, may in daylight or lowlight. We have captured the aurora light despite being cloudy! For those who have been to, you know how difficult to spot the Aurora. We have played with this camera body for 2 weeks now & every time we were impressed on these specs. My husband is a photo enthusiast, he has been learning & photo capturing for 7 years now. We love to travel. Note we are not pro , just enthusiast. The camera arrived on time, packaging is secured, the item is original. The photo transfer via wifi/bluetooth was very fast & easy. I have attached below some of the pics we had from our Iceland trip. Definitely will buy this for the original mark up price, but we are very lucky to buy this during the Black Friday sale - discounted by 100£. Amazing! Bet this will last us for years. Thank you amazon! Happy couple here!

Excellent Camera
I purchased this camera to replace my EOS 450D for my 50th birthday, visiting Scotland, it certainly had some useOverall am very happy with this camera over my previous, picture quality is amazing, I've never taken my camera out of auto mode so decided to use Manual, TV and AV Modes, use it properly. Have taken some awesome pictures with quite a few duds. Also purchased a Pano Head, Tripod, ND and polarising filters. Have taken some amazing panoramicsConsCarrying it around I found myself catching several of the buttons, my previous canon lens failed after a couple of years and so purchased a Tamron equivalent. Had no issues with it on my previous camera. I did find however that on the new camera photos had a red and green outline. After zooming to about 35mm this vanished. It has compatibility issues and Canon weren't interested in assisting. When I come to sell my old camera will be selling the Tamron lens with it and buying another Canon.Overall am very happy

Great Camera
After being out of photography for many years I decided to get back into it, so decided to buy a DSLR. I wanted a camera that was a bit more than a basic camera with the usual modes, auto, manual, shutter and aperture priorities. I am pleased to say that I haven't been diappointed. This is a very straight forward camera to use and the quality of the photos are very good, with the kit lens and a Canon 50 to 250 lens. It is nice and light but feels solid too.I have no regrets with this camera.
