Ronnie Wood: Artist

I am very pleased that I purchased this book. Being a fan of the Rolling Stones from there inception whenthey released an EP with "poison ivy" on it. Ronnie was not in the band then, but this book shows what a very talented artist he is, he can capture the image of a person in a few lines brilliantly.

Ronnie Wood is as good an artist as he is an iconic guitar player. In this wonderful collection of his work you are drawn into his world, his art breathing life to every page. Not only those of the Stones, but Hendrix, a beautiful drawing of Eric Clapton, blues and jazz greats, through the world of ballet, to more abstract works but every one has something special. One of the Stones in the studio recording catches them perfectly, if you could have one painting of them for me this would be it. A book any but not only art fans will love but music lovers, ballet lovers, and Ronnie shows us his studio in Barcelona, shares his visions for his painting plus some of his sculptures. This really is a wonderful book to look through again and again.

Ronnie Wood has quite a back story, and it’s essence is all contained in this book, beautifully illustrated by the man himself. He is a hugely talented and accomplished artist, and this book is a treasure for art fans and Stones fans alike. I recommend it, without hesitation.

As you can expect, the book is a kind of masterpiece going over Ronnie's career as a painter, drawer and creative. This book is not only a great contribution to any Stones' fan, it's also a superb example of different techniques in painting, like portraits, landscapes, etc. Definitely 5 stars, the book came out with the book spine a bit loose but overall great condition.

This is a very interesting book re Mr Wood's art He is undoubtedly a very accomplished artist who could have gone far with his painting had music not been his chosen field in life He has the elusive knack of getting a great likeness and his portraits of his fellow band members and others are really striking! I enjoyed this book very much and also Mr Woods pithy comments throughout and as I bought a second hand copy it cost no more than a magazine would so was excellent value!

Having waited for nearly 12 months for the limited edition Ronnie Wood, I ran out of patients and had to settle for the standard book, very disappointing not to have got my original order, however this one is a good quality book and shows Ronnie's work off to a good standard.Well done Ronnie.

Excellent all round. Great range of paintings and sketches from an extremely accomplished artist who is happy to work in all kinds of media and on all manner of subjects. A must for any serious art lover, or simply for someone who wants to take their time to look at really superb paintings of Rolling Stones members. Very good quality print / repro.

What a talented guy Ronnie Wood is. As well as being an ace guitarist in one of the world's greatest bands, he's also a very gifted artist. This book is superb and covers a wide range of Ronnie's work. There are pictures of The Stones, of course, but a whole load more besides. The collection includes oils, watercolours, sketches and sculptures, with a wide variety of subject matter. A beautiful book and highly recommended.

A lovely book of some of Ronnie's incredible artwork. He is so talented. This is well worth it for the art lover (or Ronnie Woods' fans!).

Ron Wood ist nicht nur ein excellenter Musiker, sondern auch ein wirklich talentierter Maler, der nicht nur seine Bandmitglieder grandios zeichnet, sondern auch Portraits, Landschaftmalerei und Stilleben beherrscht.Einige seiner Originale, die die Rolling Stones betreffen, sah ich im späten Frühjahr 2011 im größten Einkaufzentrum von Dublin.
