Polyester Embroidery Thread Set (32 Spools, 500m Each) by SMB Always

This is by far the best thread set I've owned for the given price. I really love the variety and brightness of the colors. They are durable high quality threads. I highly recommend these.

The yarn is fine, but the spools are designed in a way that the thread is forever getting blocked on the spool. I have broke several needles. I have tried many different thread trees, along with the tree on the machine. I bought this because the price was good....but the spools need to be rethought by the producer!

This set is a great start for someone like me who is new to embroidery. I was able to do a patch for my son on the first try and it came out great. It works well with my Singer Futura Quartet 6700. The cone does not fit the spool holder so I used a small sponge hair roller, inserted it in the middle and that holds it stable.

I agree with another reviewer in that the spools used on these threads are awful. Several of mine kept falling apart, with the ring at the bottom detaching and falling off mid-project.The thread itself wasn't the greatest, either. I found that it not only unravelled very easily from the spools, causing a lot of tangled waste, but the thread also gave off a lot of lint, causing congestion in the needle and resulting in more breakage than normal. In addition, the color assortment shown varied greatly from that which ultimately ended up in my collection. I received about 9 varying shades of red, yet only 2 greens - 1 very pale and 1 so dark it appears almost black, and only 1 shade of yellow. Also missing were standard colors like orange, olive green, silver, gold, and navy.Oh well, I tried my hand at getting a bargain for a change, since embroidery threads are somewhat expensive. They say "you get what you pay for". This is one of those examples. So now I'll know for next time.

I bought this thread pack along with the Brother PE500.I really like the color selection.The thread has a nice sheen and looks nice when embroidered.Very nice price.I do agree with other reviews that the spools are poor. The edges are rough and the thread has caught on them a few time causing the need to babysit the machine.Also, there is no way to secure the thread so I use a small rubber band.Overall nice thread and no problems i cant live with.

Thread colors are beautiful and some of the threads seem strong. However, it is "hit or miss" and you can't take that chance with your items. The spools are created so the thread does not stay on them..not an issue becaue you can just stick a piece of tape on it when you are finished. BUT when it is on the spool holder and the machine is stitiching, it slips around the holder (causing it to tangle) thus causing needles to break. Don't waste your time...go ahead and get a higher quality item.

I love these sooo much! They were cheap and they are so great! They'll last me forever and they are very sturdy. I love this product and they suite me. I would recommend them to anyone!

A really nice set of embroidery thread , it doesn't break easy and is great for regular sewing too.
