This book is just great. If you’re a beginner, or even an experienced practitioner, this is the one you want for lunar magick. I browsed several before settling on this one, and I am so thankful I did. Dorothy Morrison is a treasure for giving this to us.

If you are looking for a resource on the Moon and Her properties then this is the book for you. Morrison makes moon lore and properties easily understandable and accessible in this book.Everyday Moon Magic is broken down into two sections: the first the lore and properties, and what magical workings are best under each moon house, the other section magical workings that you can use during the moon phases.Yes, some of the information in the first half of the book can be found online, but I personally like having a resource at my fingertips.The second section, the spell section is a nice resource. It can help you plan esbat celebrations, or you can find a spell to help you banish, heal or bring things into your life. The great thing about the spells? A lot of the tools you need are things that you probably already have around your home. You don't need anything fancy or outrageously expensive to practice.

I recently purchased this book and I was amazed once I started reading it. I hadn't expected much because I had not been able to find many reviews, but I was absolutely blown away when I got this book! I highly recommend it to everyone. Dorothy Morrison covers so much in this book and she seems like such a "real" person. If you've read any Silver Ravenwolf books and enjoyed her humor (even if you don't like her) you will like Dorothy Morrison's humor and lightheartedness as well. Wonderful author, great book, and I can't wait to get a couple of her other books! This is the best moon book I have read so far.

If you're just starting on the path of Wicca or The Craft, Ms. Morrison is a must-have author. Common sense, practicality and spirituality well combined in easy to understand text. Great guidelines and good directions for rituals and spells. She is one of the best "witchy" writers out there and better than many listed on these pages. She might not be exactly what you're looking for but she'll never make you feel as if you can't do something with what you have on hand. Excellent author and excellent book on the Moon.

After reading The Craft by Dorothy Morrison, I knew I needed a good book to learn about the moon, since it influences so much. The author explains all sorts of old wives' tales and superstitions, but also some practical things affected by moon phases--gardening, fishing, and livestock care. She teaches when to perform the right magic and fulfill the right tasks according to moon phase.One part that really stuck out to me was that she was out of town for a full moon gathering and found out a sleazy trainer had beaten her dog. She wished all sorts of awful things on him, then got a frantic call soon after from her then husband who told her the trainer was hit by a truck and badly injured! The full moon has huge influence, many of us have experienced something memorable.I also enjoy the section about the moon in astrological signs--the witch's personal moon sign influences her practice, as well as each sign has influence over spells. She thoroughly explains the Waxing, Full, Waning and dark moon phases. There's a section explaining each full moon and its according celebration. There's also a section of spells and rituals to perform according to moon phase. There's also a section in the back with lists of appropriate plants & herbs, stones, colors and days of the week. She provides easy-to-follow information for making your magic work the best way it can. An important book to have in your spiritual collection.

It's just what I wanted. All I need now is the ephemerous and I'll be all set. The author covers the moon phases in depth along with clear explanations on how to use this in your everyday life.

Every time I use this spell book my spells come out perfect. I get what I want and need. I have never found a book as good as this. If you want the only spell book you would ever need and only one, get this. Her other really good one is the Sun spells.
