I really liked this book, it is colourful with plenty of photos and well laid out. There are lots of ideas for different types of shades with close up photos which make the instructions really clear. There is a chapter on the history of light shades and a section on designers. A lovely book to own and refer to.

This is an absolutely delightful book. The introduction to the boook is lovely. The colour pictures are inspiring, so vibrant and a joy tolook at. The designs are beautiful and the instuctions are clear. I am so very pleased that I bought this book. I have enjoyed reading it so much.It has given me the confidence to buy the materials I need to start on a simple design and I believe that, given time to practice, I shallbe able to make lampshades for my home which are special.

I purchased the book because I like lampshades which is not the ordinary styles. The book is okay with explanations on how to diy. I have not made any lampshades yet, though.

This book is fantastic, really good instructions and so many inspirational ideas - if you like to create your own style, this is the perfect book (my third book on making lampshades and so far the best)

I haven't made any yet, but it was must what I was looking fir. Clear instructions and a good range of projects from simple drum shades to more complicated shaped shades, and beautiful fabrics and embellishments. Also a pretty comprehensive list of suppliers which is helpful.

I enjoyed this book, has some lovely ideas for various shapes and fabrics. One thing I felt could be improved on, was the section for linings. I felt it was inadequate, as in my limited experience, the lining has been the most complicated part of making lampshades. There is just a couple of pages which deals with traditional lining and then reference is made as to what project the lining could work without any further reference in the named project. It would have been helpful to have shown a particular project follow through with the lining. Basically a bit more in-depth.
