Perfect for the visually impaired
Great for the visually impaired. Very easy to set the time even when blind. It is a good size making it easy to feel for. The voice it uses it much nicer than other talking clocks we’ve tried.

Interesting
Seems reasonably priced for what it is, though one thing I would add to it if asked would be Bluetooth and maybe add another model that works not with a button but a spring loaded slider switch that would mean you could stick it in your pocket. The ability to link it to a BT speaker would be such a bonus, unfortunately, unless I missed the feature, that is not possible. Anyhow, that fanciful idea aside, it is pretty simple to set the basic functions, I haven't read the instructions but got it out of the box (batterys not included SHAME). Ordered batteries. 1 day later, batteries arrived, put them in and started pressing buttons (OK only 2 buttons but the one on the base is obviously to put the device in set mode. OK, the thing was basically setup as much as needed in around 4 minutes for my aged parent who will be recieving it as a Christmas gift. The sound, a gentlemans voice, is clear, unrushed and reasonably loud for me which is a boon. I may revisit this review once the recipient has tried it to give a fairer appraisal from one of the intended users.

Beeps after telling time
very good - easy to use - the only annoying thing is the delayed beep that comes after telling the time.

Brilliant product
Brilliant product. Loud, clear talking voice speaks time and date with optional alarm Well made and easy to programme. Advised by RNIB for a blind relative and I was so impressed with hers I ordered two for my husband who finds reading a clock Brilliant product. Recommended for a blind relative and I was so impressed with hers that I ordered two for my husband who is finding it difficult to read clocks in his 80's. One is situated by his chair and one in the bedroom. Really loud alarm, clear speaking voice for time and date and extremely easy to programme. Would recommend this to anyone who is partially sighted and it is loud enough for those who also have hearing problems.

Simple to set up
Easy to set up and good size, but very cheap, lightweight plastic. Not sure it will last long. My mum has dementia and constantly asks what time is it?

Really useful so far
We've only had this a short time, so can't comment on how accurate it will be over time but, right now, the time keeps perfectly and it's really made such a difference to someone who has recently lost their sight. I had to read the instructions to figure out how to set the time and date, and I think someone who is blind and perhaps elderly would have difficulty finding and figuring out that it's a tiny dot on the bottom of the item that you press to set the time and date. The volume control is also hard to locate and it's a case of trial and error figuring out how to make it louder/quieter. But...once you have set everything up (which, to be fair, doesn't take long, provided you can read and follow the instructions), it works brilliantly and the sound really can be set very loud, so it's good for those who may also be hard of hearing as well as blind or partially sighted.
