Alessi Orange Peeler, Stainless Steel, Silver

This cute little gadget would suit anyone who loves citrus fruit - as well as those who should eat more, but the faff of peeling an orange puts you off. First of all, The Apostrophe is a tiny, surprisingly heavy, but perfectly designed item. It's a sort of sharp crochet hook, which glides through tough orange peel like a knife through butter. I absolutely love mine! Yes, it's expensive for its size, but if you buy one... I promise you won't regret a single penny!

Purchased to replace horrible orange plastic peelers which we frequently throw out with the orange peel. This on the other hand is a classic, beautiful and functional. Pleasure to hold and use.

I was looking for an orange peeler as a gift. Something that works, looks elegant and is lasting. I could primarily find plasticky orange peelers during my research. When I found a pic of this guy I thought to myself "this looks perfect". Then I noticed the price of it which dampened my enthusiasm a bit, admittedly. I let it ponder over and decided to give it a shot regardless, and I am very glad I did. This is an expensive orange peeler. BUT, This is such a nice little kitchen accessory. Calling it an orange peeler doesn't really do it justice. It is a piece of art that looks terrific leaving it out on the kitchen surface, where it will always be within reach when you need it. Single cast solid steel, tiny but heavy, durable. Lovely design, it is super cute. Seeing the item makes you think it is of Italian design, and right you are. We call ours Antonio. A little warning though: Antonio is tiny and will be easily lost. Be mindful when using it and don't chuck it with your peelings! Losing this little guy is sure to break your heart.

Alessi orange peeler is well manufactured. Cuts through the orange skin with ease. Easy to clean but be careful of the hooked blade when washing. This product for its small size has good weight and is easy to handle. Quite an expensive item (hence the four stars), however does the job well and will be a one time purchase.

Great design. This is a great little tool for peeling those tricky thick skinned oranges. The cutter is really sharp so has no problem getting through the peel. Word of caution it is quite small and I’ve had to retrieve it twice from the bin where it had been placed with the peelings
