Wrestlemania goes Hollywood
This was the 21st annual Wrestlemania event which was headlined by a World championship match between Batista and Triple H and would also see JBL defend the WWE championship against John Cena and a dream match between Kurt Angle and Shawn Michaels. The event is included in full along with a load of extras such as promotional spots for the event, career highlights and the entire hall of fame ceremony featuring the inductions of Hulk Hogan, Roddy Piper, Jimmy Hart, Paul Orndorff, The Iron Sheik, Nikolai Volkoff and Bob Orton. Also included is the pre-show battle royal featuring the wrestlers who didn't main the main card. It wasn't anything special, just your average battle royal but it wasn't bad.Eddie Guerrero vs. Rey Mysterio - This was a friendly match between two tag team partners. Eddie Guerrero worked to ground Mysterio and Rey went for his usual high flying offence. For most of the match Eddie did a good job of stopping Rey from gaining too much momentum. They knew each other so well so there were lots of counters to each other's signature moves. This was a really good match to kick off the show.Edge vs. Christian vs. Chris Benoit vs. Kane vs. Shelton Benjamin vs. Chris Jericho - This was the first ever money in the bank ladder match and everyone went right after Kane in the aisleway to try and take out the biggest man in the match. There were lots of high spots with moves off and involving the ladder including Benjamin running up a leaning ladder to deliver a clothesline. Benoit's arm was badly hurt early on by Kane which played a big part in the finish. This was a great match and still one of the best money in the bank matches ever.**Eugene comes out talking about Wrestlemania and his love of midgets before being interrupted by Muhammed Hassan and Davari who complain about being left out of Wrestlemania before attacking Eugene which brings out Hulk Hogan. This didn't feel like it belonged at Wrestlemania but I guess it was here so Hogan could be a part of the show.**The Undertaker vs. Randy Orton - Orton started off trying to avoid the Undertaker as well as angering him with a slap across the face. Undertaker eventually caught him though and went on to beat him down. The Undertaker would use his strength, power and dangerous strikes to try and beat Randy but Orton was fast and used his agility to counter and get back into the match. Orton managed to counter a chokeslam into an RKO which nearly won him the match in a great moment in another really good match.Trish Stratus vs. Christy Hemme - This was for Trish's women's championship and leading up to the match Hemme was being coached by Lita who had a lot of history against Stratus. Stratus dominated most of this match but Hemme got in some offence when Trish would get distracted by Lita. This match wasn't very good, Hemme clearly wasn't ready for a match like this and it showed.Shawn Michaels vs. Kurt Angle - After a few takedowns by Angle Michaels surprisingly gets the better of angle on the mat. Kurt turned the match around with an angle slam into the ring post which hurt the lower back of Michaels and Angle targeted the back from then on. Shawn came back with a springboard onto Kurt on the announce table and they fought back and forth for the rest of the match with lots of near falls and great counters. Angle caught Shawn's sweet chin music and turned it into an ankle lock and from there Kurt switched his attention to the ankle of Shawn, repeatedly going back to his ankle lock. This was an incredible match, on of the best matches in Wrestlemania history.**Roddy Piper hosts his Piper's pit segment next with his guest being "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. They talked for a while and Carlito interrupted. This segment felt more special than the Hogan one so felt more like it fit with Wrestlemania. It was cool seeing the first meeting between the two legends and it didn't take too long, it was an enjoyable segment.**The Big Show vs. Akebono - Why was this a thing? This was a "sumo" match where the first person to put their opponent outside the circle wins. This was boring and a waste of time, I recommend just skipping it.JBL vs. John Cena - This was the WWE championship match and JBL controlled the match from the start. He went after Cena's neck with multiple neck breakers and wore him down until Cena eventually made a comeback. This was fairly short and a pretty basic match, it wasn't awful but wasn't anything special. They would go on to have an amazing match at Judgment Day the same year.Triple H vs. Batista - This was for Triple H's world heavyweight championship, the two tried to out power each other in the opening moments and eventually Triple H managed to get the upper hand and targeted his attack on the back of Batista. Batista would get in some offence of his own but Triple H, with the help of Ric Flair, always managed to stop his momentum. On the outside Batista catapulted Triple H into the ringpost busting him open which turned the match in Batista's favour. The match started off slow but it built up and ended up being a really enjoyable match. This was a really good Wrestlemania, Kurt Angle and Shawn Michaels stole the show and Orton/Undertaker, the money in the bank match, Eddie/Rey and the main event were all really good too. There were some bad matches, Christy Hemme really didn't belong in a Wrestlemania singles match and I have no idea what they were thinking with the sumo match but these were fairly short matches so didn't hurt the event too much. Cena/JBL wasn't anything special but wasn't a bad match either and although the Hulk Hogan segment felt pointless it was luckily kept short too so overall there is a lot more good than bad at this Wrestlemania.

Wrestlemania Meh-nia 21
The first ever money in the bank, Undertaker Vs Randy Orton aswell as Kurt Angle Vs Shawn Michaels are easily the highlights of the show, everything else is either average or straight up bad. No one wanted to see Big show in a sumo getup and the match is one of the worst in mania history, along with Trish Stratus Vs Christie Hemmie. The two world title matches (Cena vs JBL, Batista vs Triple H) range from underwhelming to overbooked. I don't regret my purchase, but if I'm ever going to go back to this show it won't be in its entirety.

Never worked on my dvd player. Let it sit too long to return. Make a great coaster for my drink though.
