Great item
We purchased this pick to break through the impossible Arizona dirt which is more like cement and plant some new cactus. It works really well and makes the job easier. Well built, sturdy, and not too heavy for a man or woman to use.

Solid!
This thing is solid and wonderful. Forged from a single piece of steel, it inspires confidence and has held up well so far.

Beautiful and functional -- but could be even better
I am using this to fit stones in a lakeside seawall I am slowly building. (Like Winston Churchill - I am an amateur)The hammer looks gorgeous - but be careful, it will rust very quickly..Unlike its wooden-handled predecessor, it will not break and fling its head into the lake. But compared with the wooden one, it will transmit far more reflected energy back into your bones. The rubber handle helps a little. The pointy pick is occasionally very persuasive, when you are coaxing a rock to change its shape.Alas, it claims to be heavy -- but perhaps they are weighing the handle as well(?) because it is too light-headed to satisfy me. To break granite, I have to swing it very hard and fast.I'd rather invest more energy into lifting it. Then on the downstroke, I'd let the hammer do the brute work while I focus on landing it in the right spot.

Solid, no regrets
I used them to dig a hole through rocky frozen earth to access a water line in the middle of winter. Perfect handheld size with good heft. Didn't dull at all. My hands and arms were tired after three hours but my joints were fine. Like TC Tuggers, it doesn't hurt your hand or wreck your shirt.

Trust worthy tool
I’m a concrete guy that does foundation work so I was skeptical this thing would stay alive but it has 2 years later writing this review thing has seen it all to mud to literal medium sized rock it’ll pick/dig all of it

Great Tool!!
I needed something to be able to make small drains where water stands when it rains. I have tried to use a shovel to make it a little sloped for the water to drain but the ground is so rocky that it was an impossible task. I tried this and boy was it easy to get it done. This will help when I’m struggling to dig holes. Very happy with it!
