I haven't had it long or used it extensively, but my initial impressions are positive. It feels well-made, and the laser lines are very visible. I was initially concerned about paying extra for a green laser, which is more power-hungry and visible, but I found the red laser to be more than adequate for indoor use. It remains visible in certain outdoor conditions as well.The ability to lock the laser to angle the beam is extremely handy, as is the plumb line feature.One reason I chose the red laser was cost savings and battery efficiency. The green laser uses more power, and I wanted to use rechargeable batteries. It works great with 1.2V rechargeable batteries. Although I haven't tested how long they last, as long as you turn it on only when needed and off after use, it should be perfectly fine and save on single-use batteries.In certain environments, red can provide a higher contrast than green depending on the background or surrounding colors. For example, red can stand out more strongly against darker or cooler backgrounds like blue, green, or gray, making it appear more prominent than green in some contexts.This was one of the main reasons I picked red.

Excellent product, green cross laser very clear and accurate. The vertical plumb spot in red to contrast the green is also a good feature and useful for planning lights quickly and accurately on the floor and projecting locations onto the ceiling. The stand and bracket are good quality, an added improvement could be stronger magnets on the stand as I’m not confident the laser will not fall off.

The level comes in a superb carry case which protects the actual level and its accessories when not in use. The level itself operates faultlessly and does all that could be asked of it. You can use it as a self leveling device or just as a precision guide if you choose to lock the device, which can be very useful in certain circumstances. For example, working at an angle on a staircase. All in all a great product that I recommend.

I have to say that I am happy with the laser, happy to pay a premium for a premium product and I do think that is what I have got. But I have to say that the battery life is not that great, expect to be getting low battery warning after 2ish hours of use (admittedly with all lasers on) the spread of laser is not as good as I expected but I guess that working in larger rooms would be an advantage, but after saying that it is still very usable. Also a method of fine adjusting the height on the stand would be an advantage (this can be done if fixed to a wall)

This device is very simple to use, self leveling within a second emitting green laser lines horizontally and vertically each covering 180 degrees. Very functional laser level with useful features. The plumb dots are great for accurately pivoting around a point when for example marking out downlights, the included base is brilliant for this purpose. So far no issues at all and the red laser lines are visible enough in moderate daylight.
