Book
I read an extract from this in school and wanted to read the book as I loved it, the story was so unique and intriguing and it’s very cheap so you don’t have to spend a lot of money

A Classic, but not wonderful
H G Wells may be a notable author. But in my opinion it's not because he was a good or skillful writer, but because of the topics he chose to write about, which were, and are still quite novel. However, I have to admit that I didn't enjoy this book, although Iam glad I read it.

Good compilation by Davies!
This 5-star review is for the good edition compiled by L. Davies, a Conradian scholar, whose introductory essay is endued with a remarkable perspective on The Time Machine. More often than not, editors tend to include The Chronic Argonaut but in this edition, the editor also includes The Sleeper Awakes, which is a real treat.Of most inexpensive editions available on the market with good analyses, this one comes with a most updated list of reference works for the author and the works. Besides, Davies' perspective is on how mathematics plays a role in the writing of The Time Machine, a rare perspective.
