Q: Does the circle 2 camera work with apple homekit?

The official software update for Homekit support was released today, but covers only the Circle 2 Wired version. The 8 digits long pairing number - that Homekit application will ask in order to identify your camera - is a bit tricky to find. To see this code you will need to remove the camera cover and look at laser etched markings on the back. Q: Is the only way to extend the power supply cable to buy the official one, will a super long USB cable do the job ?

I have just used a 5 metre USB cable and it is fine. As it only supplies power the length should be able to be quite long.

Q: Can the wireless or wired version record sound as well?

Yes I believe it can - although I have turned off y microphone capability because I am using them as a window fixing where sound is not required - have to say I am quite impresssed by their quality but NOT by the cost of Logitech monitoring the cameras

Q: Does the circle 2 camera work with the older circle camera or do i need to buy the same versions?

It appears that Logitech update the software on all their circle cameras with a view to compatability when run together in tandem
