Hawkins Bigboy Pressure Cooker, 14 Litre, Silver (BB14)

Came quick, well priced, well made and well packaged. For those wondering as its not displayed on the spec on here the KPA is 103 so if your looking to sterilise, this pot is perfect :) 10/10

Used to sterilise ten 500ml kilner jars at once.. On an electric hob... Took longer than I imagine gas would have but got to pressure... Scared myself when the steam comes out.. But works perfectly. Only complaint is the manual looked tatty, there were a few machine marks and machine oil left on from factory and the rubber seal was dirty...suspect quality control is not the best in India and the factory is dirty? But once cleaned with a bit of white vinegar, was practically pristine. 15psi for all your grain cooking / mycology needs. 18l just about fit on electric hob also. 22l would not have

For everyone whose going to buy this product please dont the lid for containing this much pressure is soo poor its loose and whistle never came. We had to use rubber bands ect to keep the pressure in. Never recommend this to anyone!!!

Wow! After using a Prestige pressure cooker for a while, I needed something bigger to make stock etc and found this one. Very, very happy with it. It's huge compared to my old one and I can easily make twice the stock in one batch as I used to. Very well made in heavy aluminium with sturdy handles and easy locking method. Looks like it's going to last a long time. I can highly recommend this - even it it seems expensive, given the huge size (and they make ones even bigger!), and build quality, I think it's worth the money.

If you are thinking to buy this Hawkings big boy think again. It cost import duty £28 from India.

This this is huge and that’s why I love it so much. Got one then ended up getting a second one for my home in another country because it’s that good. Opening and closing may take some getting use to but other than that it’s great

Einen Hinweis aus dem beigelegten Benutzerhandbuch hätte ich mir in der Produktbeschreibung gewünscht: Es ist bei diesem Topf nicht garantiert, dass der Boden sich nicht mit wiederholtem Gebrauch verformt, und so die flache Auflagefläche für Elektrobrenner verloren geht. Der Topf ist eigentlich nur für Gasbrenner gedacht. Ich habe den Topf noch nicht ausprobiert; Im ersten Eindruck fällt auf, dass er - frisch ausgepackt und noch nicht verwendet - schon mit ein paar Kratzern geliefert wurde, und die weißen Griffe schwarze Schlieren haben. Macht aber einen gebrauchsbereiten Eindruck. Drei Sterne, weil man obige Mankos ja auch relativ zum geringen Preis sehen muss. Bei den renommierten Marken zahlt man ja oft für einen gewöhnlichen Topf von diesem Fassungsvermögen (der also kein Druckkochtopf ist) schon einen ähnlichen Preis.

The cooker is beyond expectations. Does what it promises. And yes time savings are enormous. Frozen chicken 4 lbs to ready meal in marinade under 30 min. Perfect . Will buy bigger model next. Thanks
