This is a really nice brush which does an excellent job of cleaning your teeth, you can definitely tell the difference over a manual brush.The display shows the time and automatically starts counting when you turn the brush on which is nice. There are 4 pieces around the face on the right hand side which tells you which quarter of your mouth you should be brushing and moves on automatically. The motor changes when you need to do this so you can tell even without looking at the screen and I've found that I look at it less and less as time has gone on.You can connect over Bluetooth to a mobile application which essentially shows the same information as the display it comes with. Also, you need to remember to open the app for anything to happen so there isn't much point in it. It also "helpfully" reminds you with a notification if you've been using a toothbrush head for too long and recommends you buy some more, which feels a bit like a way to get more money from you but it isn't too bad and can be turned off.It comes with a few heads of different types to get you started, although to be honest I couldn't tell a difference in cleaning quality between them, they all seem to do about the same job.The charger has a small area for you to store heads built into the base which is a nice touch, and it comes with a plastic storage case if you need to take the brush on holiday. I leave it on its base all the time it isn't in use and the battery life is plenty sufficient for a single brush and is charged in time for the next time you need it.Overall a really high quality bit of kit, the display and the mobile application feel a bit gimmicky, but you don't have to use them really and it keeps your teeth clean well which is the main thing.UPDATE:The display screen seems to have stopped functioning about a year after purchase, the digits no longer show up properly. The unit looks to have pretty good seals on it to prevent moisture but being in a humid environment seems to have taken its toll anyway.

I bought this to replace a Oral B Triumph 5000 pro. Both toothbrushes are fairly bonkers, but this takes it to a whole new level of bonkers.Packaging:The box is large, well designed and easy to unpack. There is no rattling of goods inside.Unpacking:Inside the box you get a single handle, which is the body of the toothbrush. It is a white and silver affair and looks like something you'd clean your teeth with on the set of Star Trek.You also get four heads of different styles, including a cross action head, floss action head, 3D clean head and sensitive head. You can go ahead and ditch the sensitive head, it's pants! Try the others for the normal time (up to 3 months). I like the fact that they give you a selection, as it'll help you choose when you come to buy replacements. I'm quite liking the cross action head, I used to buy 'Precision Clean' but I may opt for Cross Action in the future.You get a Smart Guide, which is a bathroom clock/brushing timer/automated nagging device. It will tell you when you should brush different 'quadrants' of your mouth, when you're pressing too hard and will reward you with stars if you brush for long enough. It's surprisingly useful!Finally you get the charging station, with slots to put your heads in, and a plastic carry box for those times you need to take your toothbrush on the road. All in all, compared to an off-the-shelf £40 toothbrush you'd pick up at a supermarket, this package feels fairly premium.Use:Charge your toothbrush for around 16 hours. Yes it's a long time but you don't want to mess about with the batteries in these toothbrushes. Treat them right and they'll last ages, skimp on the proper charging cycles and you'll run them down quicker and quicker over time.Choose your preferred head and slot it on top of the handle. Stick a battery in the smart guide and set the time. Then download the Oral-B app onto your smartphone. Yes there is an app designed to work with this toothbrush via bluetooth! Follow the step-by-step guide to setting up your toothbrush with the app and you'll be greeted with a picture of some teeth surrounding a timer.Now, hit the round button on the toothbrush and slowly move it around your mouth. Both the app and the smart guide tell you when to move from one part of your mouth to the other, using the teeth on the app as a guide. Better yet, the app reminds you of your daily calendar appointments as you brush and treats you to a scrolling run down of the top news stories of the day! When you're finished, your brushing is added to a calendar of activity, showing what days you've been good and brushed as you should have. Believe it or not, this persistence of memory helps in keeping a schedule - no one likes a combo-breaker!!Maintaining your brush:After each brush, I take off the head and rinse it out. Then I rinse the brush. This takes about 3 seconds but keeps the brush totally clean. If you don't, it starts to get caked in horrible stuff and looks (and smells) a bit manky.Quality of cleaning:Easily the best cleaning result from any toothbrush I've ever used. This brush is often on offer or lightning deal and these offers can be used with the vouchers that Amazon often put out. Definitely worth a buy!

Bought as part of an amazon deal, and had no idea how really good this was going to be. I have bought expensive Phillips electric toothbrushes and used Oral B in the past. I asked my dentist and staff which toothbrush company they favoured, and they all said Oral B. They can't be wrong can they?When I opened up the box, it all looked singing and dancing. Was it just gimmicky? Absolutely not! One of the real surprises to me was the Bluetooth connectivity with the digital timer, which keeps your attention on how long you are cleaning your teeth. This has been life changing. All the family now use it and my kids watch the timers religiously. Usually a real nightmare to get them to clean for more than a minute!!The feel of the toothbrush is excellent and you have a variety of brushes to decide what works best for your teeth. In addition, another really pleasant surprise was the warning (red flash on the brush, and warning on the digital display) when you press too hard. They have done all the hard work for you. I actually look forward to cleaning my teeth before bed and first thing in the morning. Who'd have thought it?I was so impressed I bought one for my wife. The battery does wear down compared to other brands that I have used, but the charging cradle is easy to use and I have got used to doing this more regularly. I strongly recommend this...particularly when on a deal/offer!

First use the battery lasted several days, After my fourth charge, the battery will only stay charged for one brush then die. Not worth it.
