Fly paper
These are so much better than the old sticky papers these are very sticky but the way they have evolved so much easier and better to remove from the container there performance is better as they're perfectly flat size is better catch more flies .

Catches small fruit flies only
Bought these to catch annoying giant flies that torment us all day in this heat. I placed 5 of these around two rooms - hanging from the ceiling but the flies completely ignored them, they flied right past all of them like they were competing in a Red Bull air race!!It did however catch 2 fruit flies - they are ok and do not buzz around like the big blue and black flies! So essentially - I spent nearly £12 on some glorified sellotape that looks like the old photo film cartridges.@Trapro: You need to add something sweet to the sticky so you can entice the flies...

Would not purchase these again very disappointed with them.
Although they look nicer l much prefer the brown ones & the flies certainly seem to like the brown ones ones more. Been hanging up for over a week now & all that is on there is 2 small flies whereas the brown paper one which is hanging in the same room is covered in flies, they are a lot less sticky & are more awkward to hang as well.Sorry would not recommend these.

Pretty & Functional
My husband rolled his eyes when he saw I’d bought ‘the pretty ones’ but he was impressed that they were easy to put up without him ending up covered in sticky stuff like the normal ones, but he was more impressed with how well they work! We knew we had quite a few flies (countryside, warmer weather, they love our south facing conservatory) but we didn’t realise we had as many as we did till we saw the strips at the end of the day! Big ar$e ones too! I know there are some negative reviews but we are very happy with the effectiveness of them and I’m happy because they aren’t the ugly yellow twisty ones which totally spoil the aesthetic of my home!!!

...
Catches tons of flies in my garage. Totally solved my fly problem in just a couple days.To avoid a mess, I recommend put a tack or nail into a rafter before unrolling the strip.Once you have the thing unrolled, it can be difficult to then push a tack into wood -- and that's when things get messy. After doing it that way once, I switched over to driving nails into rafters around the garage and then hanging the strips from those nails. No muss, no fuss. Just lots of dead flies shortly thereafter.Since flies are attracted to light, I left the lights on in the garage overnight for a couple nights and the strips nearest the light fixture were soon covered in flies.Works really good, I already purchased more.

Tore
Out of 12 half of these tore so they are now unusable. Also they come with ties not pins so unless you happen to have pins you have to tie them ti something which isn’t always ideal
