I was looking for a plastic pump bottle and found this. I was fed up with the usual metal canister gels going rusty around the bottom and leaving rust rings everywhere. This stuff is great. I wet my face with hot water, get this gel and smooth it all over, run my razor under hot water and shave. It glides through really well, better than my previous supermarket brand leader gels. This doesn't foam up, it stays as a clear, blueish gel. I have a beard so it's great for seeing where I'm going on the edges. It smells nice. Leaves my skin feeling nice. I'll definitely but it again but it might be a while as there is loads to use. So value for money is better than my usual supermarket purchases. Much easier to use as well.

Why did you choose this product over others?: I’ve used this for years, it’s great for beard outlines if you’re trying to get nice sharp lines. This gel remains gel and does not foam, it’s great. I first saw it at the Turkish barbershop I get through about 2 a year

i use a cut throat shaver with disposable astra blue blades to do my beard lines so a clear shave gel is what i need. This is perfect and compared to other brands, super cheap and you get a whole litre. It will definitely last a while. Its rather thick when you apply it but means the shaving experience is very smooth. Gave 1 less star as the pump on the bottle didn't work and did see other comments they had the same issue. Either way, it is well worth it.

When applied to the skin the customer will feel a nice cool sensation, perfect for all skin types. Nothing beats it value for money, I’ve had it for 13 months now and I’ve still got 1/3 left! You don’t need to apply a lot and it will moistures the skin enabling an easy shape up with the cut throat.

When in for this after using shaving foam for years and been displeased. Tried this and now I love it, gives me a smooth shave and fresh looking and feeling face after using it. 1000ml is massive, looks like hair gel in you're hand but goes on face nice. Only thing that may be a problem for some people is you can't see it on you're face to know where to shave so I just slap extra on all over face just so I no it's covered but my Gillette flexball just glides through it so smooth.

Smell: This has a great aroma, its a really fresh smell which embodies most other male shaving products. Glide: This is were the product falls short and the label on the bottle advertises this as 'Ultra Glide' but it's near non-existent in my opinion, so the problem for me is the consistency of the gel because It's like coating your face in a an excessively thick slime, so much so you're pushing your razor though it so there really isn't a 'glide' so to speak. I even tried just a pea sized amount and watered it down, but even though I could shave it kind of defeated the object as it was more like not using gel at all. I'm used to other mainstream manufacturer products and this is where this product simply lacks, so much so that while shaving today I opted to make sure it wasn't just me as picked up my wife's 'own label sub £2 easy glide shaving gel' to compare and the difference was noticeable. Quantity/Quality: I bought this on a whim and based on some of the reviews, and as I said I'm usually using mainstream shaving products that work out more than twice the price; 2 x 200Ml are ~£7 normally for me. Quality wise it's average for the reasons above, and probably on par with those in pound stores, but is in no means a 'high end product' (not that it claims to be, but with statements such as ultra glide on the label, you simply can't make those assertions if it doesn't deliver) That said, I've only used it once and I'm really on the fence with this product, because at the end of the day it works, just not necessarily to my liking.
