Despite being a very good home croquet set, you need to be careful not to be too rough with the mallets! They are quite strong enough for normal use. Just don't get aggressive with them if you get annoyed :)We have enjoyed them tremendously dusing Covid lockdown, but our garden is no putting green and it can be very frustrating when the balls don't go where you think you are hitting them :(

The croquet set arrived ahead of schedule and was well wrapped. The mallets and balls are sturdy and manufactured to a high standard. It is good to have with the instructions some do's and don'ts about the use of the mallets, which serve as a reminder each time we start playing. The bright colours are attractive to children. This means that black is always the last to be selected if children are given a choice! The game has been very popular with our grandchildren (aged 6 and5) who have preferred it to electronic toys during the week they have been with us. Adults have also had great fun playing croquet. We began by teaching the grandchildren to hit the ball through a hoop. We then moved on to playing the game using the 6 hoops and the peg, without the complication of gaining extra shots by hitting other balls. The game works well on a small uneven lawn, but we do long for a larger playing area.

Wanted a croquet set for my wedding and the options seemed to be either £10 for a rubbish set that required assembley and gave you splinters, or £100 for a pro set! So I was pleased to find this set on offer at around £30. It arrived today and although I haven't played with it, it seems very nice quality and I like that it comes in the carry bag with rules. The mallets aren't the full pro length but are long enough for adults to play with as well as kids. Everything is painted nicely and it looks more expensive than it was. Only slight complaint is that the bag was absolutley filthy- it must have been sat in some dusty corner of a warehouse. Nothing a quick wipe couldn't solve though but I did get it all over my jeans before I realised.

This set is more expensive than some of the others, but you get what you pay for. I was pleasantly surprised. The pieces are well made and brightly painted, all individually wrapped for safe delivery. The carry bag is again top quality. The wickets are preformed and solidly made. I like high quality things and I rate this really highly. Lovely looking, the bag is great and even the balls are wooden unlike many of the other kids sets available. The height of the mallets is perfect for my kids aged 8 and 6, but also fine for adults to play with the kids without bending over too much and hurting your back. The hoops are similar widths to the adult sets which personally I really like. The wider ones I've seen advertised frankly look ridiculous and are too easy even for kids! Seriously, buy this set you definitely won't be disappointed.

Very durable, played numerous times now and the sticks have heald together well despite some aggressive play, couple of slight niggles is the paint where the stick meets the ball damages quite easy, but just cosmetic and there was way to much plastic packaging inside when it arrived for my liking

This is an excellent croquet set for adults and kids. Was a bit worried about the length of the handles for adults especially as my dad gets a sore back but they can be easily used for both kids and adults, my son is 8 and my dad is 70 and they play the most!Good quality, we also use the balls to bowl with so multi-functional too!Would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for a decent croquet set to play.
