So your best bet to see them is here.Some of the celebrity guest stars in this season, such as Bob Denver in 'Simpson Tide' may not be familiar to British audiences as they are famous for shows that haven't been quite so well known over here.Opinions on this season as a whole will vary but in general it is a very strong one. Although 'the Principal and the Pauper' which sees Principal Skinner replaced when the truth about his past comes out wasn't a very popular episode at the time. And it isn't really as funny as the rest. But the writers do make some good points about it on the commentary which will make you appraise it in a whole new light. Although Matt Groening, the Simpsons creator, does list it as one of his least favourite episodes on the season introduction. He might be joking. Or then again...Every episode has a commentary from production staff. Or the cast. Or a mixture of both.Every episode, if there are scenes deleted from it, allows you to watch it with them put back in.Each disc allows you to watch all episodes on it in a row, or individually.Every episode has the following language and subtitle options:Languages: English.Subtitles: English.Disc one begins with a short preview of the Simpsons movie [the dvd having come out before that hit the cinemas] but it can be skipped via the next button on the dvd remote.The disc also has the aforementioned season introduction.Plus the usual 'animation showcase' which lets you see one episode in particular at various stages of the production process.Disc two has 'a bit from the animators' which is a eight minute long commentary from some of them, plus Matt Groening and Yeardley Smith [who voices Lisa] on the episode 'all singing, all dancing.' This is a fun listen although it's all about how to draw the characters than the episode itself. Mostly.Disc three contains another 'animation showcase' plus a very short feature showing some original character sketches. It runs for no more than a few seconds if you watch it with automatic movement between the pictures on.Disc four has a special language feature, which allows you watch 'trash of the titans' [the 200th episode of the show] in either Polish, Portugese, German, and one other language that I can't identify because it doesn't say what it is on the menu. You'll know what it is if you speak said language, though.There's another 'bit from the animators' on the episode 'lost our lisa' which runs for just under twelve minutes. And is also pretty good.All the deleted scenes from the entire season - that as mentioned are available on each individual episode - can be watched on this disc in one long batch. Of fifteen minutes in total. As usual some are unfinished so are in black and white, and one is an animated storyboard.You can also choose to watch these with a commentary which explains why they were cut. Usually for timing reasons.There's a short section of tv commercials the Simpsons producers made for a candy bar called Butterscotch. These run for five minutes in total and can be watched in a row or individually. Epileptics and those who don't like strobe lighting be warned that one of them has flashing images in it.There's 'a bit with u2' which mixes footage of the pop group recording their voices for Trash of the Titans along with clips from the episode, plus voiceover from Yeardley Smith and Dan Castallaneta [the voice of Homer] telling their memories of the recording session.In addition the discs contain some very funny menus with lots going on in the sections above the option screens.And the booklet that comes with the dvd contains lots of little extras which also catch the eye and amuse.It's another great package for a very strong season of a great tv show.

I buy these DVD box sets when they fall below £10 on Amazon, I originally placed all of the series in my basket (select save for later) then if like me you check your basket regularly, the basket changes will update you on price changes - they normally retail with Amazon and elsewhere for approx. £12-25 but on Amazon they tend to put one or two on at promotional prices (if you check your basket everyday you will notice Amazon adjust their prices a lot if not just by pennies! But it can be hard to find them beat for price.So the series itself excellent value for just over £8 - I'm still not tired of them and they are great to watch over dinner.

Fantastic, got this box set within 5 days of ordering. I like the box set with lot of art work and small pamphlet with all titled episodes pictured, however upon starting to watch from first episode those are in SD quality and if you want to watch in full screen then there will be black borders (4:3) ratio i pressume, but overall i love these, i only remembered 2 episodes from first disc.

This is just arriving today for me-but I can safely review it, as seasons 1-10 are all shows I've watched far more than any other tv shows all put together.Simpsons...Oh, you used to be sooooo good! (sorry to those who've enjoyed it past 2001-2002). I just haven't thought it has been even close to as good since it's 'heyday' but this is just my opinion.This season is full of some classics in my mind. The Cartridge Family (one of my all time faves "If I had my gun right now, i'd shoot you!" "Yeah well, ya don't. See you in a few days"). New York vs Homer (No bowl, stick! Stick!). Lost our Lisa ("I'm not usually a praying man, but if you're up there, please! Save me...Superman!") The Last Temptation of Krust ("Hey Krusty, don't you hate pants?") This Little Wiggy, The Joy of Sect...I could go on and on.This reminds me of a time when me and all my friends would get into spirited Simpson Quote Offs. Something I think the show has been very lacking in providing for many years.Thankfully, I can just watch these over and overSays something about a show when it can be enjoyed on multiple viewings-another thing that I just don't see anymore.9 stars out of 5!

Here is another 25 episode season of The Simpsons that won 3 Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Animated Program, Outstanding Voice-Over Performance, and the Outstanding Music and Lyrics award. This season also had a few more Emmy nominations as well as nominations from the Saturn Awards and the Golden Reel Awards. Notable episodes from this stellar season contain such favorites as "Simpson Tide" Where Homer joins the Navy after losing his job. Homer takes command of a sub and gets into some hot water. "Das Bus" The school kids are on a field trip and are in a tragic accident that leaves them stranded on an island. "Natural Born Kissers" Homer and Marge spice up the bedroom by taking the bedroom out in public places! Works great until they get caught. "Bart Carney" Homer and Bart become carnies and get scammed by the very same carnies that took them under their wing. "Miracle on Evergreen Terrace" The Cristmas episode in where Bart wakes up early to open gifts early. He gets what he wants which was a toy firetruck which he ironically sets the tree on fire along with everyones gifts. Bart then decides to get rid of the evidence and create a false story of a burglarer stealing Christmas. "The Cartridge Family" (One of my personal favorites) Homer buys a gun for protecting his family. Unfortunately, Homer isn't the best person to own a gun and it drives the family away. Great season to own! Although this does have a few of my top favorite Simpson episodes, it does have the one episode of the SImpsons that I don't like. "All Singing, All Dancing" is my least favorite episode. It's basically a clip show, but of all the musical scenes in the Simpsons rolled into one episode. This is the only one I personally skip ahead. Other than that, Season 9 of The Simpsons is a great addition to any collection.

Perfect! It is exactly what I was looking for. Brand new, never been opened, wrapped completely and has the original artwork. Simpsons is increasingly hard to find as far as new copies go. I got my last season 9 on sale for $10 at a store but, out of stupidity I didnt realize they were no longer being made or sold again in the future. I gave it away.... I wont do that again. These are collectables basically now.Thank you!

Wait for these to go on sale. I got all my seasons here for 10$ each. Other then that u wont be let down! Relive the good old days :)
