I never thought there would be such a thing as a left handed ruler. I had never considered why there would be left handed things, and then I had a left handed child and all of a sudden I learned that life for a leftie in a right handed world is harder than it appears.Our daughter is only just 3, but has had a very marked preference for her left hand, using it to write, draw, eat etc. She has recently been measuring at nursery - longer or shorter - and it became clear that using a right handed ruler her hand covered the numbers. Now I know she's only 3, but she knows all the numbers correctly up to 20, so measuring is a great way that the nursery can teach 'bigger' and 'smaller' numbers. The littlies find it a complex task anyway, but it was harder for her to come up with a way to do it backwards. This ruler has been a great help, working the way that she finds natural, and she's come on so well since it arrived. Long story short, left handed stuff makes left handed life easier.

I bought this for my 10 year old son.Didn't really know if it would be handy as I'm right handed.Apparently its a "Game Changer" mum!!!So a great extra item for that left handed person in your life (or yourself)!!!

The rule is sturdy and clearly marked and allows me to see where i need to mark without my fingers being in the way. Why have I never had one before!

For left handers who struggle with rulers going missing in the work place I thought I'd get these as a potential way to prevent his going missing.Hadn't realised the numbers go in the opposite direction put to be honest can't see it making any difference what so ever. I'd bought it more as a joke than being serious.He loves it.

Bought 2 for grandson and stepson, both of whom are left handers. Everything is as described although ruler is a bit flimsy. But i can't complain as it didn't break the bank to buy

My son was very pleased to see that there was a left-handed ruler for him. He said it was so much easier to do his school work and now needs a new one as it doesn't withstand a 12 year old walking through a door and not being careful! Highly recommend!

Brilliant I must admit I hadn’t seen them before and was not sure what the difference would be as I am of a certain age and it was not good to be left handed. So I have had to use all right handed implements up till now. I just love it
