Accurate works well
Accurate readings works extremely well just follow the instructions on how to insert into the meats.Comes with a handy magnetic temperature chart.A good tip jump on the net and check out blumentals web sites where he gives some good information on what temperatures to use during the cooking and when to remove meat from oven to get the final correct cooked temperature

Would recommend ""
Haven't actually used this yet but looks robust and I'm sure as with all Salter products it will do what it states.

Good product but.......
This is a product that does the job. I don't however like the magnetic help card that comes with it. I am bound to misplace it and the thermometer is rather useless withou it. I would recommend getting a cheaper salter thermometer without the celeb endorsement with all the markings on it.

Good, but expensive
Rather than peer through the smeared glass of my oven and guess if my chicken is ready or not, I utilised this during today's roast. It does what it says - measure accurately the temperature of the meat. I also like the handy "how hot should it be?" guide included with it. I would say though at the current selling price (£14) this is overpriced because it's no better than the meat thermometer my parents have (which was about £4 from John Lewis). You pay over the odds because it has Heston's name on it - and, much as I like him, there's no need for that.

Heston Blumenthal Meat Thermometer
We tend to have a roast joint every weekend and getting the best out of our rather tempremental oven, can prove difficult at times. Therefore this is a handy little gadget to own. Very much like all Heston or any other 'celebrity chef' branded product, it looks very stylish and rather futuristic, what with its silver/grey/black speedometer colourway. That's all well and good, but does it really *work*? Yes it does, but personally I would have liked to see some easy to read markings on the dial to denote the suggested optimum range cooking temperature relating to the various different meats. I know that it comes with a chart, but it is a bit annoying when you're poking things in the oven. The guage system is a little like the way my cappuccino milk thermometer works. In conclusion: a stylish product, but a little overpriced in my opinion.
