Simpsons: Season 20 [DVD] [IMPORT] [LIMITED EDITION]

I bought this after fairly lengthy deliberation, and I still wasn`t sure what I was getting! Just to clarify, this is a standard DVD (not blu-ray) and is Region 2, so it plays just the same as Seasons 1-14 and the only difference is that there are no extras. The packaging is the same as Seasons 11 onwards but it is a cool cover. As for the episodes, there are obviously plenty of people who don`t like the recent seasons, and some who do. There are some good ones here; a decent Treehouse of Horror (Homer gets into advertising, and a Peanuts parody), "Eeny Teeny Maya, Moe" (Moe dates an astonishingly small woman), and Maggie finally speaks (beyond Daddy or a belch) via Jodie Foster, in "Four Great Women and a Manicure".

As the makers of The Simpsons have announced that they stopped issuing the series on DVD after series 17, this will be the only Simpsons release on BluRay.This is a European BluRay, but is presumably Region Free as it plays perfectly on my machine.The case came sealed, and has an internal locking device on it (presumably which would be removed when buying from a shop) - however, I managed to get the box open without damaging it.For no good reason, whilst the episodes were made in full screen ratio (or at least that's how they have been broadcast on both terrestrial and satellite TV) the episodes on this set play with black bars either side of the picture.Also after 17 seasons of commentaries on every episode, plus multiple other features, this set has absolutely no extra features at all.It's a shame that the last Simpsons hard-copy release is such a let-down.

With it being an import item, I was incredibly sceptical about whether or not the DVD would actually work. The item is written in English on the front and French in the handbooks that come with it.The DVD works absolutely fine and it has the same quality as all the other previous seasons, it's just a shame that it isn't available within the UK. I hope they reconsider about releasing the rest of the seasons on DVD otherwise what's the point in having an unfinished collection?Anyway, I was incredibly satisfied with this item and would highly recommend it for Simspons fans.

As this was an import I was a little skeptic at the quality, but I've been impressed with the overall package. Case, and box is really impressive. Picture quality isn't too bad.As this item won't ever get a UK release, it's the las test ever season to be released on the DVD format.Hopefully fox and the makers change their mind and release all the remaining seasons

Once you accept that this is an imported DVD you have no choice but to give it five stars. The packaging is interesting and inventive, and the content is outstanding. After the sixth episode you do get a surprise that the aspect ratio changes as the Simpsons undergo a 16:9 ratio change. This seller i'd also like to add is very helpful and posts quickly, if your hesitant about buying this DVD then don't be, you need this last Simpsons box set in your collection.

It's Simpsons! Every fan should buy these series & the specials without any real thought! Sure from around series 12 they are far from been upto the standards of the Classic episodes, but again... its the Simpsons!! :DHowever, if still unsure or looking to start collecting - This is not available in English stores, and, sadly FOX aren't releasing anymore series on DVD/Blu-Ray (in UK or abroad!) so if you need your Optical fix of the Simpsons - look no furtherHighly recommended

Ordered this to complete my collection of The Simpsons DVD's, I already had seasons 1 - 17, and season 20 is the last season to be made on DVD. They never made seasons 18 or 19. Think season 20 was made to celebrate the 20th year of The Simpsons.I noticed on the Amazon packaging address label that this DVD came from Australia, but still plays perfectly in my PS3 dvd player.

My son bought this product with his birthday money and it arrived in good time. When we opened the box we noticed the case was damaged, however saying that so far the discs have read fine. Unfortunatly the booklet does not come in English, only in French or German which did frustrate my son but it still tells him what disc has what episode.All in all a good buy!
