Easily fitted and good quality as are all Yale products. Price quite good as well

Great, but with different cylinder & keys.
This is a great little night latch at a good price, what's not so great is the patented Yale keys that cost £11.00 each and only 2 are supplied. To get around this you can either use your existing cylinder and keys with this lock, or purchase a new cylinder with it that has more keys. A new cylinder with extra keys is cheaper than cutting new yale keys and work the lock exactly the same.

Good product
Top quality only issue it’s not standard 1A key blank so copy cut keys are expensive.

Very good…but beware
Great product, easy to follow instructions, even for an average diy person, such as myself. The lock was slightly larger than the lock being replaced. Therefore, the main hole through the door had to be moved (re-cut). Even this was quite simple with the step by step instructions. In the end, a good job.My only beef would be, keys. The lock comes with two. As my household numbers four, two more keys were needed. I would normally pay £10 for two keys. These, however, cost £18 for two. The reason, apparently, is Yale have patented the keys. So, the locksmith has to use blanks that you can only get from Yale. Obviously at an extortionate rate.If I have been given false information on this, please let me know. It took the guy less than a minute to cut both keys. What is the profit margin on these!?Beef over. Still a very good lock.

Poor construction
I bought this to replace another Yale nightlatch which looks like it could be 20 years oldWhen i fitted the new one the main body wouldn't fit on to the backing plate. In the end i had to use the old backing plate which looks as if it's at least 50% thicker. Going by that it would seem that yale products have gone downhill - they look similar and then you analyse the make up and find they aren't as good. Even the supplied screws were shorter than the ones from the old latch. They seem to be trying to save every last penny
