So fun
Such a fun craft for children. A little tedious and you have to make sure you pile the beads in to make sure there’s no holes in the finished product. Use tweezers!!

Perfect
Came out great! My daughter had a playdate with her 2 cousins and they each did one (and so did the moms)! The kids are ages 4-6. Some colors mixed but that wasn't the products fault. The girls had a blast!

Fun project, thinner metal frame
My kids and I made two of these butterfly suncatchers today. The package states "8 years and older," but I helped my 4- and 6-year-old and they did just fine. They really liked watching their creations melt into smooth plastic and were very proud of their finished products.A few tips:-Have some tweezers handy for when the little "baking crystals" fall into the wrong spaces.-Try really hard not to bump the frame! We had to start over a couple of times...-Use a straw cut at an angle as a scoop to fill the frames. This is written on the packaging and it really did help.I still have some of the original "Makit and Bakit" suncatchers from when I was a little girl. When I compared the metal frames, there was a clear difference in the thickness of the metal. I don't know if that made a big difference overall, but I did notice the melted plastic already has a few tiny cracks. Hopefully the suncatchers will last through the years as mine did.

Can Come Out Amazing With a Steady Hand
I love these kits, but this is not a kid project honestly. It took me awhile to complete this and I’m an adult. There are too many tiny beads. If a child does attempt this, my recommendations would be to do it on the cooking pan with aluminum foil underneath it. Make it as flat as possible! Use pearler bead tweezers to place the beads. I also added beads after I heated it once and reheated it just to ensure there was complete coverage. They come out nice!

i used to love making these suncatchers when i was a kid
i used to love making these suncatchers when i was a kid. from what i recall they look exactly the same now as they did back then. i bought two of these for each of my girls. they are so much fun to make and much prettier than the suncatchers you paint.

Creative fun
These make a fabulous gift for a creative child because they are there as a present in the first instance and then afterwards they give joy for years to come. My children who are now mature adults both enjoyed making the light catchers and have still got them to this day and this is a present for my five year old granddaughter. It's such a shame that they don't make more designs and are available at outlets in the UK. There certainly would be a market in the UK for children.

Just like I did in the 80s
This really brought back memories and my girls loved it!! Worked a treat just as I remembered and kept them busy. The smell of plastic when baking wasn't ideal, but I opened up the windows and it was only for a few minutes. I still think this is a great creative activity with something to use afterwards.
