Decent product, shipping took over a month.
Just be aware it will probably take at least a month to be delivered. The product itself is decent quality, although it's a little difficult to get a good/deep/clean impression with the provided (fairly coarse) sand. A finer sand would produce better results. The process for getting the impressions is straightforward and it's easy to re-level the sand and try again if you don't get an impression that you're happy with. Just make sure to pour the plaster very carefully from the edges inward, as it can disturb the sand and ruin the whole thing.

An interesting project
This is a lovely idea, though more difficult to use for dogs than I thought it would be. I was also surprised to learn that the frame has no front cover, no glass, no plastic. Once I saw the procedure for making the print, I realized the need for no cover, but I am concerned that the print can be accidentally bumped and broken.I had difficulty making the print because doing so involved setting my dog's paw into the soft sand and removing it without his claws disturbing the imprint. He was very arthritic, so folding his paw and removing it gently were difficult. I do think this would be simpler for a baby, as they have no claws to disturb the imprint.I spoke with the seller who mentioned that if I were unhappy with the outcome, I could purchase additional plaster and re-do the project. Unfortunately, Buster passed away before I could re-do the imprint. Still, I have his 2 front pawprints, one clearly made and the other looking like something unrecognizable.I would suggest doing this when you and your subject are relaxed and have plenty of time and patience to re-do.

Not ideal for cats but if you have a dog I'd give it a shot!
I started out watching videos to insure that I knew the correct process so that it would come out really good but unfortunately it was not a good product. I love my cats so much so I wanted to have their paw prints forever but it's impossible to get it to look anything like that. The idea is a very cute idea but just not quite possible. Cats are a little squirmy so it didn't work and there pawprints just sunk in. I still think that it's a neat idea and would probably work better with dogs. Worth a shot!

Great idea!
This is a great way to capture your pets paw prints. It is not easy to do, unless you have a totally laid back easygoing animal, but that is the animal and not the kit. Easy to set up, followed instructions and it worked. The frame us beautiful. Also, only four stars cause I assumed the sand would be permanent but it will rub off so you have to be careful not to touch it or rub it after it's done. Also heavy!

Good idea but harder than it looks
Really great idea but really hard to get a good print with animals.

Can't believe how great this turned out...
Okay, so despite the fact that I really WANTED this to work, I was still skeptical. You know how home craft projects can turn out (read: not what the sample looks like!) But in this case, I was overly pleased and downright impressed with how great my puppy prints turned out. I will try to attach a picture somewhere. I absolutely love my final product.Watch the instructional video on Youtube before you begin... it helps a lot. Also, make sure you press down very hard and even wiggle (slightly) your dog's paws into the sand; this helped ensure a very solid, deliberate, clear print. Mine looks just as great as the sample picture!I didn't want to mess with adding 'flare' in the sand (like sea shells), so I simple super-glued them to the front of the frame once I was totally done.Enjoy!

but I hated this. There is no glass between the outside ...
It is hard to see in picture, but I hated this. There is no glass between the outside world and the prints, and the prints have sand all over them, the sand used never comes off, so if you brush with finger you loose particles of sand but the entire print has sand that is not able to come off and doesn't look nice.

but my cat hated it. The nice thing is
The most difficult part of this project is getting your pet to hold still long enough to press the paw print. Maybe it was the feel of moist sand between her toes, but my cat hated it. The nice thing is, if one or more prints don't look right, you can smooth the sand and do it again. Plus, you don't have to start the whole process over, you just smooth the area you need to re-do.After many tries, I finally got two nice prints. Poured the mold and let it set. A few hours later I had a very nice print set. Just one thing - after the mold material hardens, make sure you brush the sand off outside. If you don't sand will be everywhere!
