I'll have a lot of fun with these
I'll have a lot of fun with these. They work well. I've never tried anything other than Gen 1 night vision so I don't know what I'm missing, but for the price these work well enough. You can see in pitch black with the IR beam turned on.

Don't waste your time or money
Provides no real night vision without the use of the IR illuminator which is effective only up to a few meters. Don't waste your time or money.

a product that is worth buying! This is more or less like a G1+ NVM
Firstly, my first language is not English so..plz dont be so dogmatic about my english!I have been serving as a scout in the army for three years and I am currently a shooting officer in the CCF in UK, so I know what a good NVM really is. I have to say that, this product is perhaps the best Gen 1 product that I have ever used! The reflection of non-IRR objects is clear so it gives perceivers a really good perceptions in the night. I use this NVM for SAR as well as "capture" cadets as what missions require and I have to say that this product can work up to 15 hours; The range of this product is really for (consider it as a Gen 1 product), when there is a 1/2 moon and some other light sources, you can see the trees from 4-500M away, in a pitch black situation that you turn on your IR, you can see at least 50M - 100M.The only two down sides of this product are: because this is a G1 NVM, you have to turn on IR in a pitch dark situation and since the IR light on this NVG is 803nm, you can see the red light pretty clear (but if you do not pay attention on this, forget about the light, you could hardly see the light 40M away); secondly, why does Yukon not design this product as a rechargable NVM? Frankly it is really expensive to buy some 3V 123A here...Beside all those two limitations, a product that is worth buying! This is more or less like a G1+ NVM (although I dont think there is any genration called G1+ like G2 +)

night vision!!
Oh they are good, you can see on the darkest of nights, they have a very good range and they are so clear you can read with them to. The only down side is they don't make that capacitor charging noise when you turn them on like they do in splinter cell! haha But a really good buy.
