IntelArc A770 Limited Edition 16GB PCI Express 4.0 Graphics Card

I'm a very small pc builder and recently sold my streaming pc. When I went to build another one I took a chance and bought the A770 on sale. So far so good with the latest drivers. The overlay needs work but for a company's first gen of cards I'm impressed with with the value for money. I like the LE's card being able to use the 16gb of VRAM as the AsRock A770 only comes with 8gb so I'd stick with the FE card. If you want a low end card that does really well and is getting better with each driver update I would give ARC a try!

I'm certainly no expert but I know what awesome graphics look like - and this definitely delivers.

I initially bought an A750 and was impressed with its performance, so I decided to upgrade to one of these after they dropped the price to $350. For 16GB of VRAM that is a pretty good deal! Unfortunately, this card has some issues, and I am likely going to return it.Right out of the box, the "new" card I received had clearly been returned, because unlike the pristine A750, this one had a bent, dusty box sticker and some fingerprints. Everything was in the box though, including the case sticker, so I decided to keep it because with such a new product, how bad could it be?First off, this card had some pretty noticeable coil whine, though it was not audible when I was wearing my headset and sounded like the clicking of a HDD, which did not bother me. However, while the performance in DX12 games like Fortnite was impressive, older games like Team Fortress 2 ran worse.However, I already had an old computer to run old games, so that wasn't really an issue. No, the real problems were software: first, having to use a separate USB cable and another program separate from the control center to control the card's RGB functionality felt a little clunky.The control center software was what really ruined it for me though. Not only did I still have to go to Intel's website to download drivers as alerted by their driver assistant, but every time I started up my computer I had to accept an admin prompt to let the program work.Today, though, the box never showed up, but the alert sound played and my screen froze, the color of my desktop background. It's like the box was there but not being rendered. I had to uninstall the GPU from my computer and plug my monitor into the motherboard to bypass it and get the machine working.In addition, I was seeing very occasional flickering after hooking up a second monitor. Right now, the card is packed back in its box like it was when I received it, and I don't plan on reinstalling it. I never even claimed the free games, though, since the card was seemingly used when I got it, they may be gone.Another thing to take note of is that this card absolutely requires a system with ReBAR support, so you're limited to only fairly recently hardware, but I don't consider that an issue. What I did consider a issue is that occasionally my computer would boot with ReBAR disabled; I'd have to enable it again in BIOS.One final nitpick is that with a PCIe extender, I saw severe performance degradation with this card, though since that could be due to the card, the extender, or even the "entry level" motherboard I'm using, I cannot say if that is a problem with the card. I did not test the A750 with it.The A750 did not have these problems and since it did not have RGB control, was much simpler to operate. Even if I end up returning the A770, I'll still keep the A750. But I'll miss that extra 8GB of VRAM. Hopefully the Battlemage Arc GPUs are better. Fix that control center software, Intel!

Love this card but it has some downfalls. Some older games play horribly on this card. Newer games for the most part work great.

This card was great out of the gate Price/Performance/Value but Intel Arc software has been slowly throttling this card especially since they came out with the new B series. They Appled the stuffing out of it as soon as the new product was released !! The software also had a pretty neat screen capture and tuning interface. All that is GONE with subsequent driver updates. Will be my first & last Intel GPU.

I've been using the A770 for over a year and it has been a constant problem. It's simply not reliable hardware and the drivers aren't great on both Windows and Linux. Sometimes the card works, it's annoying when it doesn't.Hardware problems:* Sometimes the card isn't recognized by the motherboard on boot up. The motherboard beeps and there is a no video card post code on the motherboard.* The card sometimes fails to detect one or both of my monitors. Logs show EDID checksum errors.* Various graphical glitches have started appearing on both the Windows 11 desktop and the Ubuntu Linux desktop.Driver problems:* Windows 11 crashes every time I update the drivers and I have to do a driver refresh to get them installed properly.Customer support problems:Intel also has bad customer support. I have been trying to get my A770 RMAed and they have not responded to my support requests and emails in over two weeks. And it has been three weeks since I made the original support/warranty request.I realize that sometimes products can be defective, but being ghosted by Intel's support team is unacceptable. And now I've had to fall back on an old Nvidia card and hope I can get this card fixed.

Esta grafica es muy buena por su precio, ya no tiene los problemas de hace 1 año, ahora esta mejor, tanto para renderizado y en juegos pesados!Eso si! Recuerden que esta tarjeta saca mucho aire por los costados! Recomiendo poner la tarjeta en vertical o tener mucho espacio y ventilacion en la torre del computador.

Like: the quality of construction, reliability, the quality of graphics, overall performance is great!!
