I have fine, 2a/2b hair, and for me, this is a good enough dupe for Hairstory New Wash (too $$) / Trader Joe's Cleansing and Conditioning Hair Wash (sadly discontinued). This gives me clean hair with enough moisture and texture that allows my waves to do their thing. The unique aspect of this product is that it feels conditioned with a little "conditioned grip" (not quite sure how to describe - but it's neither stripped nor overly slippery/greasy). Strands feel coated in a good way (you do need to scrub and rinse well). This is precisely what New Wash and TJ's did for my hair. YMMV, but this one (tea tree - haven't tried coconut) is a winner for me. Not exactly inexpensive, but you don't need much. Writing this to help others who might be on a similar quest! Please keep making this!

This is better than hairstory, an half the price. I have 2c curly hair that is coarse. This works perfect.

This cream shampoo I have been using for a year or so now. It seems to be a lot better at keeping my hair from becoming frizzy after freshly washed. It’s still a little frizzy, but a lot better than regular shampoo and conditioner.

It is good .. cleans and makes hair soft but the smell is not so good

I hoped this would be a less expensive alternative to New Wash. I like it even a little more—it works well for my hair, which is very fine but dense, with natural waves and some frizz. With this wash and just a bit of leave-in conditioner my hair looks great.

It’s the daily hair care product you were looking for to keep the bush on your head nice and clean, prevents frizziness, clean look, soft feel, and good smell. Us people with lots of curly hair get oily if we don’t keep it clean, and this product does it all, cleans your scalp and hair without stripping the natural oils. Although the packaging is a bit odd, and the product volume is small for the price, all you need is a blackberry sized amount each time. It should last about 2 months if you use it daily. No grease, no poo, no intense menthol feeling on the scalp. 10/10

Best Co-wash I've used...every bit as good or better than more expensive similar products. The tea tree oil leaves my scalp feeling fresh and the product doesn't build up.
