Absolutely love this kit
Fantastic product! Amazing quality!I’m an A level student and this is great for chemistry. It helps me visualise molecules and memorise them due to their accurate shapes and distinct colours. I recommend this to teachers to use in class and students of any age who show an interest in chemistry (especially those who enjoy Lego). If there was anything I could suggest to the makers of this product it would be: to see more examples of different molecules in the provided leaflet and a slightly bigger box so all the balls fit in better. Because it’s always a tight squeeze trying to fit them all back in again.Thank you.

Every bit as good as the "name" brand, at a much better price
I am a science teacher, working from home, and tutoring pupils online. I don't have access to the schools resources at the moment, so decided that I needed to invest in a molecular model kit, initially for the GCSE Carbon Chemistry topic, but with plans to expand the set as time goes on. I would ultimately like to be able to construct some of the larger covalent structures and ionic lattices too. I had never heard of this brand, being used to the more established "name" brand that we use in school. The Nobby's set was much cheaper than that brand, so I decided to give them a try, as my models will never be given the harsh treatment that some of the school sets get. I am delighted to say that the Nobby's kit is every bit as robust as the market leader's, and I would have no hesitation in buying them again, or handing them out in class for use by my students. Top notch, and great value

Easy, fun and robust
This kit is great. Easy to use and demonstrate, and fun to play with. It's robust, so there's not fear of breaking anything as you twist and turn the molecules you've made.Downsides? I don't think there are any major ones. Aromatic rings have to be constructed with alternate double bonds (old Kekule style), but that's not really a problem. You are also limited to basic organic bonding and atoms (no metals or semi-ionic bonding options etc, and some functional groups not easy to show easily e.g. nitrate as opposed to nitro), but again, that's not a problem.I've already recommended this kit to other people, and I hope to get a couple more myself a bit later in the year so that I can demonstrate larger molecules.

Great teaching tool
Excellent quality though I think the price was a fraction too high , and would be great if the set could be made bigger with more molecules to make. Good for gcse and for a level.

Good quality and value for money
I bought this set to help me to understand polymer chains, which I am studying as part of an OU engineering degree course. I chose the Old Nobby Molecular Kit over other sets because it appeared to be the best value for money. I am pleased with it because it's good quality and the quantities of the various atoms appear well thought out - I haven't yet ran out of any when building a molecule. The kit comes with a short link remover tool, which I found tricky to use at first but fine once I got used to it. The storage box is quite sturdy and has four compartments. My only criticism is that the instruction guide does not give an example of how to use the V bonds for space filling models. (There are 8 of these but I can't figure out what they're for.)

Easy to use. Good quality.
Bought for science mad daughter for Christmas. She loved it. The quality is comparable to much more expensive kits I've seen in medical sections of specialist bookstores. The parts strongly connect without being too tough to snap together. I recommend getting two kits (which I did) to have enough pieces to create decently sized models, example: with two kits you can construct 4/5 tiered diamond or two layers of graphite with 3 hexagons on each layer, the biggest structures most people would need to construct. A science teacher creating several models to put on display in classroom would need more than two boxes however. Generally recommend.

Well made, beautiful and perfect learning aid for chemistry.
I bought this kit for my 8 years old daughter to learn chemistry. It is made from high quality plastic and parts clicks in securely. It is fairly large so easy to handle. Looks beautiful too! It comes with a very nice storage box and information leaflet. Everything about it says quality! It is perfect as a learning aid. I'm very happy with the kit.

A great molecular model kit
Just started using my molecular model kit this week and initially I am very pleased. I like the simplicity and robustness of the packaging but also like the bullet point wording on the front and the careful warning when using around young children. The kit is very good and 239 pieces is sufficient enough to assemble basic molecular structures which is just what I need. Although I have only been using the kit for a while I notice the quality of the snap-together inter-connectors, firm enough to complete the connection without dropping out unnecessarily but not too firm such that you have to force the connection too much, which might result in bending or breaking the interconnection.Yes, very pleased and would definitely recommend this kit to enhance people's visual understanding of molecular structures, you can't beat a physical object when learning.
