Not really... It will buzz unless full on then die within months.

I doubt it will work with Hue smart wireless dimmer. I use an old type rotary dimmer. If the setting is too low, the bulbs will blink.

Q: How do they dim on an ordinary lamp?

They work with dimmer switches. The lamp would need to be fitted with a dimmable switch, then this bulb will work.
