Ben and Holly's Little Kingdom: Holly's Magic Wand [DVD]

My daughter, who is 3 1/2 had watched Peppa Pig since the age of 2, but now feels she is too old for it. Since watching Ben and Holly's Little Kingdom, she feels the programme is more suitable for her age. The programme is about a small kingdom in a garden where elves and fairies live. The main characters are Ben Elf and Princess Holly, who is a fairy. Nanny Plum, the fairy minder of Holly, often accompanies Holly when she meets Ben to play with. Nanny Plum is a favourite, being helpful, but sometimes doesn't think before she speaks, which can get her into trouble. Look out for Gaston, a ladybird who lives in a messy cave, but who barks like a dog. My daughter finds that hilarious.Overall, I give this 5/5. It's a great programme and one I don't mind watching with my daughter, unlike some other programmes.

Having watched Peppa Pig many times with my 2 year old son, I was not surprised when he said he like Ben and Holly's little kingdom. He has been watching most of the afternoon and has given it the thumbs up! As with Peppa it is easy watching for adults(to a certain degree) and children alike. Loving Nanny Plum (formally known as Miss Rabbit) and her sarcastic undertones. Fabulous well worth a purchase for girls and boys too!

My little girl, approaching 3 years of age, is a real fan of Ben & Holly and just loves watching this DvD. There is a good selection of episodes and she doesn't tire from watching them over and over again. I have to admit I get a giggle out of watching it with her as there is always something worth chuckling about for us older viewers!

How can you not love this dvd. Children's dvds can sometimes be torturous at the best of times. Good use of humour which i enjoyed, does lose that appeal once you have seen it several times !. My son loves this dvd if you child / grandchild is a big fan of Ben and Holly this is a must buy.

As usual, amazon never lets me down:quick delivery and good value for money. It's a pity, though, he dvd does not have subtitles in English, specially because non-english speakers may also buy the item. I'm an English teacher in Spain and my kids find it useful to read some words or expression they do not pick up.

Lots of episodes to enjoy, excellent value for the price although some rather shameless advertising of Ben and holly toys before the main menu comes up. My daughter wants them all for her birthday!

My daughter (2 and a half) absolutely adores Ben & Holly. We tape the episodes from the tv and let her watch one before her bedtime routine. We thought it would be handy to have the dvd so we could easily choose her favorite episodes from the first series. Yes the episode are great but the Dvd is so annoying. It is the first time I have seen this in a dvd. There is a very long advert for the Ben & Holly castle toy (which she actually has) that plays before you get to the menu of the dvd. Therefore in order to let her watch a short program we have to sit through this advert everytime. I would recommend to the producer of the dvd to run the adverts after the programs.

I love Ben and Holly, even better than Peppa Pig in my opinion! I really like that each episode is 10 minutes and that you get 11 episodes on a disc, much better value for money in terms of viewing time than a lot of kids' dvds.

Our family love Ben and Holly! Great series. We will continue to watch and love for years to come.

Ben en Holly es de la misma "fabrica" que Peppa Pig y mis hijas tambien le gustan esto. Es divertido para su edad y sin violencia etc.

Ideal um Vorschulkinder für die englische Sprache zu begeistern. Die Charactere reden langsam und deutlich, die Bilder sprechen für sich, sodass Kinder der Geschichte leicht folgen können, obwohl sie auf englisch ist und auch nicht auf die deutsche Sprache umgestellt werden kann. Die Figuren sind liebevoll gezeichnet und die Geschichten einfach nur süß. Ein Spaß für die ganze Familie.
