makes a little boy very happy
we bought this for our son's 3rd birthday and so far have not regretted it. he loves it. It's very sturdy and not that difficult to put together. It folds easily but not so easily that a wee one can do it. I love this slide, as does our son. He slides down along with toy cars, teddies etc even in the rain. I've found it very easy to move around the garden, for an adult, The wee fella has tried to knock it over on numerous occaisions and failed. It won't topple or tip no matter how hard it's shoved. The steps are perfectly placed for little legs and the hand rail is comfortable. It is a touch awkward to get out of the house however but that's a minor thing. The instructions are a bit mis leading. You really need to hammer the hinge bar in place BEFORE you attatch the base of the steps. It makes it much easier to get the no slip bits in place. I do have one niggle though. The drop at the end can be a bit sudden depending on clothes worn. My son is used to it now but it might startle a smaller child. So far I have found this to be a very safe and sturdy toy. It is well used and often abused but I have no issues. I would deffinately recommend this to anyone. The pure pleasure expressed on the wee fella's face when he tottles up and slings his teddy down head first make it worth it. I have a number of little tikes products and every one has been certainly worth the money. They make sturdy products. I do have to add I didn't buy this slide blind, I had already seen it being well used in a local Toddler play place. And if it can hold up to dozens of kids everyday, without fail one little boy is going to have many years of enjoyment from it.

Perfect for toddlers
I bought this for my grandson a couple of months ago. He loves it - as do his little playmates when they come visiting with their mums. They like to climb up the slide as well as shoot down it They love crawling under it, through it, over it and onto it. It has provided a lot of pleasure for many little 12-18 month old children and they are a joy to watch whilst they squeal with delight. It is light-weight to move around the garden yet solid and stable. It is very useful that the slide part is easily detachable too, without its safety being compromised. The only criticism I have is that it was a devil to put together. In theory it couldn't have been simpler but in reality it was a nightmare. The pieces should have just slotted into each other but they took a herculean amount of pressure to snap into place. On the plus side I suppose this means they will not be coming apart once little people are clambering all over them!

Versatile
I bought this slide because it folds and stores away in a small space, we have a small garden and we can take this out and put it away again. It is very sturdy and strong. It is however for 3ish years and up or very enthusiastic toddlers as the steps are quite chunky and difficult to climb. The grips along the side going up the steps are quite thick for little ones to hold on to and when they get to the top of the steps theres not a lot to hold on to either. As the child reaches the bottom of the slide they have to be able to land on their feet as the drop at the end is a few inches deep and quite a drop for the very small ones. Our little ones have got used to it but we've had to show them how to hold on 'safely' and land on their feet which we didn't have to do with our old metal one. Overall though good fun!

My toddler loves it...
Pros:My little boy is 2 years 9 months and I surprised him with this slide. Firstly he was so incredibly excited about it, it was priceless. The slide is a perfect addition to a playroom and can be used both indoor and outdoor, we bought an IKEA soft play mat addition which cost £30 (I think) to give him something to land on because he comes down the slide at quite a speed. My son is tall for his age, often people think he 3/4 years and I can foresee him getting years of fun out of this. The slide folds away easily and seems sturdy and safe, once set up.Cons:It is incredibly hard to set up, would not have been able to do it by myself and needed my husband's help who also struggled. I think an easier set up would make this a clear 5/5.Overall:I think it was an excellent purchase, my son also slides teddy and cars down the slide :) We live in a flat and make it work, folding it away when we are fed up and getting it back out again almost makes the toy new. Your child will use his imagination and get lots of fun out of this. I anticipate my newborn will soon join the fun. Great fun making the little ones smile!

Perfect first slide!
Got this for my 2 year old to have in the garden. Putting it together should be simple enough, however certain parts need ‘persuasion’ to fit together. The whole thing slots together and then is secured with 4 self tapping screws(just remember to put the screws through the screw caps first!).Our garden isn’t the most level, but it’s still very sturdy and doesn’t try to tip over. We’ve used it mainly as a slide into his little paddling pool, which he loves.Only downside is unless it’s in the shade, it gets very hot when the sun is out. So you have to douse it down with the hosepipe. Apart from that I can’t really fault it as a first slide.
