Fantastic for M1 MacBook Air
I need two external screens and was most disappointed that this isn't possible now with the current version of Big Sur for MacBooks with the Intel chip. The options for achieving this were eye-wateringly expensive, but this is more than sufficient for me.With an existing cheap USB C hub for USB 3 (with the MacBook power charging through it), I connected this to it. One HDMI connection from the first monitor, I bought an HDMI-DVI cable (£5) for the second one. Installed the DisplayLink software and perfect! Now I have two external monitors and the laptop screen too. More than sufficient for my work.

Laptop and two additional monitors
I purchased this so I could have my laptop screen and two additional monitors display independently of each other. This works a treat. I can now use all three screens at the same time with different things on each.Setting up took minutes. I just downloaded the driver from the web page for my laptop and I was away.Very happy with this solution. It's important to note you need to have a HDMI cable and a VGA cable to use this so one of your monitors must have a HDMI and one must have a VGA (or an adapter to facilitate the use of both).

Helpful addition to increase productivity
I've waited 3 weeks to write a review on this product due to some of the issues a few other people had commented about - primarily crashing out and getting a blank jittery screen for a short time and then it resets. My experience was similar to start with; two monitors connected to the device via HDMI and DVI. The screens came up OK and worked for a while but then suffered an annoying black out until it slowly resets itself - up to a minute at times, and also quite frequently, so clearly this wasn't going to work for long. Making sure the DVI was well screwed into the device certainly helped - previously I had just thumb tightened but then did this carefully with a screwdriver - that helped. Stopping some programmes from working in the background also helped (via task manager). I have windows 10 Home (latest build to date) with just a 2.16Ghz CPU (Celeron) and 8GB of RAM which is probably not helping, so I would suggest this is at the minimum spec to use this device at and accept you still get occasional blackout although they aren't too annoying. I have cheated a little in that I've now plugged the HDMI lead back straight into the laptop with just the DVI in the device, but hey ho I do have 3 screens to work with and it does help to have different documents opened on each with a lot of the work that I do. Realistically this is probably a 4.5 stars so I've been generous in giving it 5.

Great device, Great Solution, Great value!
Update: Sun 21st Oct 2018I've brought a total of 6 so far and also put a few friends on to them. I have 3 offices, each with a multi-monitor environment setup using these devices. This means I need only take my laptop from office to office and simply plug in to control 3 monitors per laptop.I use Win 7, Win 8.1 and Win 10I've purchased 2 of these, installation was easy and they work with no issues. One is connected to an ACER Win 8.1 laptop, the other a Dell Latitude Win 7. I use them to add 2 monitors to each laptop, really pleased so far!Update 24th May 2018: Have purchased another 2, one for an ACER Win10 laptop, the other an ACER 2in1 PC/Tablet. They work superbly. The ACER 2in1 only has a single USB 3.0 so I've added a 4 port hub and this device works perfectly when connected to a port on the hub driving two ACER 24" monitors. The 2in1 does not have a built in Ethernet port, this device provides one and it works just fine!I've tested the robustness by freely plugging/unplugging the device and it switches/adjusts between monitors with no problems. These laptops are not used for gaming or grahpics intensive applications but for standard office/business use they're great value and work as described.I purchased the second one after the first one had proved itself over a month, recommended.

Impressive product, impressive company
Just what I needed to add vital ports to my Dell Latitude 7350. I needed to drive an old XGA projector and wanted a cable Ethernet connection.I was impressed to receive an email from the manufacturers as soon as I ordered the item, and prior to receipt, giving me links to the latest drivers & software and full contact information should I need help. This sort of service makes you like the product before you have seen it.With the software installed it was simply a case of plugging the device in and away we went. Not tested the graphics output yet but the Ethernet has performed brilliantly. I found a little zipped bag, supplied with travel deodorant, to hold it and associated cables which keeps it protected and tidy in my laptop bag.

if you enjoy your laptop or desktop without wifi access! - wired connections: please ignore
1) i cannot fault the device - it worksHOWEVER!During my usage of said device i noticed that every so often - depending on my distance for the unit, my wireless connection would die. From researching this issue, this is due to a non shielded USB3 port within the device, and non shielded USB3 is known to give off a frequency that can dampen the effective range and throughput of wireless! - don't believe me, have a look at the intel white paper on the matter - [...] - yes thats right ladies and gentlemen, wrap your shiny new device in tin foil to get the fullest use! .... which still doesn't provide 100% connectivity - Pluggable are aware of this, as i made them aware, no replacement offered - if your buying this device after binge watching Mr Robot or CSI Cyber and have taken all in it as gospel (don't!) - you'll love this product as no one is going to be running Man In the Middle Attacks between you and your wireless router as you will have your very own faraday cage - shame you won't be able to get online...

Great device.
It runs two screens @ 1080p, even on USB 2.0.When using USB 3.0, the LED lights blue and it lights grreen on USB 2.0.We're running two units from one laptop, displaying on 4 screens without any problems. It uses the DisplayLink drivers and software, which is Windows 8.1 compatible (Some other manufacturers are not).Great product and well worth the money.
