This blanket looks great and is good quality for the price you pay.However it did come vacuum packed which made it smell slightly, however this wasn’t there as soon as it was washed.Where the tale is there is an opening so your feet fall under the tail rather than stopping before the end of the tail. This makes it more comfortable and less restricting but not as warm.The design and quality looks great as the scales are all knitted rather than being printed on which you see on blankets of the same price.Could give as a gift but would need to take out of the packaging and air before gifting (may need to be washed which isn’t ideal)

This was purchased as a present for my 8 year old daughter. I read a lot of reviews before I made this purchase as there were a number of similar products. The packaging the blanket arrived in was just a clear bag not the drawstring type shown in the picture, however as it was for my daughter and going to be re-wrapped this was not an issue. When the blanket arrived I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and it does look very similar to the picture however the colour is a little darker than shown but still pink so this was fine. I ordered an adult size for my daughter as she is quite tall for her age (around 4ft) and she loves it. I would recommended ordering the adult size for children around this age as she has plenty of space in it but it is not too large.

Bought this novelty item for an adult and found it to be authentic and well made. Be warned though, it was a little on the snug side when getting your legs into it, and only came above the knees when on, which didn't reflect the images. Maybe better suited for shorter adults.

I don't reallyt know how many stars I should be putting here, maybe it would be nice if there was a button I could click to say, it was a present therefore can't review.I don't see how I can take any stars off, I didn't see any issues with the product but it also feel weird to give 5*s for somethign I just gave away and I have no idea about.

Lovely colour and design but dreadful sizing. I bought an adult size following other reviews saying size 16 etc had plenty of room! I am a 12/14 and I could barely fit it over my hips. It's long enough but even stretched barely fits a size 14 in my experience. Will be keeping this for my 8 year old granddaughter for Christmas.

If you know someone who is always cold in the house and you refuse to turn on the heating, this is a fun way to solve their problems. I'm not going to suggest that it's going to be the most durable blanket in the world, or one that has a variety of uses, but it is what it says on the box. Looks a bit like a mermaid! you sit it over you and then feed your legs into the bottom tail section and it keeps you warm. A fun present.

The pattern is beautiful, it feels nice and soft and is warm, not that easy to get on an off which is a disincentive for a young person. The tail does not stand out when wearing it, so doesn't look as much like a mermaid as my daughter expected. I like having it around though, nice to drape around my neck, but then the mermaid aspect is pretty much lost.

Have given this 4* because the quality, colour and delivery was excellent. Mine was delivered with a bag and it smelt only of a fresh woollen item. Having read reviews, it obviously depends on luck as to who supplies this item.However there was very little stretch in the blanket and it fitted my slim, 12yr old as a mermaid costume, very tight to put on and not as a snuggle rug.I would suggest mine would have fitted an 8yr old........pity because it was beautiful.
