I was looking for a plastic container for storing ground coffee. This airtight container by Dapai looked ideal! It is available in two colours lime green and black and I opted for the latter. The container holds 700ml and has a diameter of 13cm and is approximately 13cm in height. It's not too big to be awkward to handle but large enough to store a decent amount of food. It is made from thickish, clear plastic and seems to be of decent quality. The plastic lid has an integrated vacuum pump which help to create a nice tight seal which can be quickly released by pressing the valve. I should imagine this would work well for a variety of dried as well as fresh goods. The fact that the container is BPA free is also a bonus. So far it's been working well and I'm happy with my find!

I am constantly opening packets of crisps and treats and just never finishing them. Biscuits are the worst, once open you have to put them away properly. This container really helps with keep food from going funny.The box arrives with everything you need. An airtight container. That's pretty much it, there are no instructions but t's easy enough to figure out. Let me explain.... You have a big button on the top, which you need to press a few times, the more you press it, the more air is removed from the container. Once done, you should be able to pick up the container just by the lid and the base should be attached as if by magic. To release the pressure so you can remove the lid, there is a little button.It would have been nice had they changed the colour of the buttons you need to press. Aside from that, its been a few months and it's still working well. Every now and again I have noticed based on the temperature in the house, my seal has come a little loose and I have to press the button again to tighten it up. Great product, just needs instructions on cleaning. Not sure if I am doing that properly!

Updated review Nov 2017. The first one I received only remained sealed for a few hours. I contacted the supplier and they were fantastic. I now have another one and I am pleased to inform you this one works as described.Easy to pump and easy to release. The valve indicates if you need to pump again and they recommend you pump it once a week but I don't leave stuff in it that long.The numbers on the 'date' dial are still hard to see because it's all one colour but it's a bonus feature.Really like this device and I can now wholly recommend it.

This item worked well. It's easy to use and looks good too. If I have one criticism it would be that it is a bit too small. It doesn't take a full packet of biscuits. I like it and will just choose smaller packs in future.

Product simply doesn't work. I vacuum the container nice and tight for a very good seal. Within an hour or two, the vacuum has completely gone and the lid just comes off in your hand when you go to pick the jar up. Very disappointed.

Does what it says but not always. You have to learn how to get it just right with the release button to ensure a lasting vacuum seal.

Failed to pump out air after less than a month of use

I wasn't sure bout my take on this container until I tried the suction top coveronce done the cover stats in place and won t come off until u release the air outvery useful for light snacks around the homefor kids and safe tooall made from plasticfor something like this it d be far better as a set with varying sizeswould prob buy again...its useful in keeping the air out
