Complete Waste Of Money
Update 13th October 2017 :I returned the unit to Amazon since it had no effect after 6 weeks (see review below).Perfect customer service from Amazon with refund in my account within 2 days.In the 8 weeks since I posted the critical review below I have had 20 hassle emails from the seller (EverTek) offering an additional 30% refund to take it down.I would never trust such a seller for any future purchase of anything.------------------------------------------------------This is only the second 1-star review that I have written in 15 years as an Amazon customer, and I place over 100 orders annually.I bought this to deter /reduce the number of flies we get during summer entering our conservatory. Having tried it for 6 weeks I can honestly state that it makes no difference whatsoever.Since the sound emitted is supposedly too low a frequency for human hearing it is difficult to truly know what is going on, bar the blue light on each unit when you switch them on. It feels like I've been conned into buying 2 blue lights !I research all of the purchases I make which is why I have a good level of satisfaction with the vast majority, but this is the exception to the rule ; don't waste your money on this if you are trying to get rid of flies - it simply does not work.

So far, so good!
Can't completely rate these yet as I have only just plugged them in. They work fine, with both blue lights on. An immediate problem was that according to the instructions on the box they have to be 12" from the ground and I have electric points located low on skirting boards. So, I went out and bought two cheap extension leads and improvised 12" platforms (one upended lap tray, one shoe shelf!) for the devices to sit on. You have to position the extension lead panel right at the edge of whatever platform you rest it on, as the device extends downwards from the lead. Now we'll see what happens....October 1: Well into the spider season, I have not seen one hairy monster in my living room (normally by this time there have been two or three, and that is only the ones I see). I used the Pest Repeller strategically, running it for three weeks to encourage any spiders out, then applying a spray repellent round doors, windows and skirting board gaps to stop them coming in, while keeping the Pest Repeller on. Belt and braces. Furthermore, I have hardly had any blowflies in this year. Normally there is always at least one buzzing about in the summer months. The few that have come in haven't stayed long. So far, I am very pleased with this purchase!

They appear to work but........................................
Like all of these gadgets, I read the reviews and there were many excellent, good and bad ones. So I decided I'd get these as the reviews seemed slightly better than the other brands, plus they were a slightly better price.Right from the start, I've knocked a star off because when I opened the box it seemed pretty clear that they had at the very least been opened before - one was not in the little bag that was hidden underneath and the other looked like it had been removed from the bag and put back in badly. So to me it seemed absolutely certain that they had been used already and so I thought Hmm, that doesn't bode well - if they'd been used and returned already then what was the chance of them even working? I'd read a lot of reviews saying the blue lights didn't come on................Well anyway, I decided to give them a try and was ready to request a return immediately as they had been used already - poor practice if you ask me.I plugged them both in and the blue lights on both lit up. One of them was almost IMPOSSIBLE to plug into the socket - in fact any sockets. Seemed like it was poorly made as the pins simply didn't align to the socket holes. But I persisted and managed to get it in one socket, but I'd tried about 6 or 7 others before that it didn't fit in! I'm concerned that it's going to break off and leave part of it in the socket when I try to remove it, so I'm still contemplating returning this for this reason, another reason I knocked a star off. The other one fitted the sockets as expected. So I received these on 16 October and actually plugged them in on 18 October. I've had a family of mice in my shed roof for a good few weeks, probably about 2 months or so. I'd insulated the shed all over and then boarded it with plasterboard all over that (I did this 2 or 3 years ago) but never got round to boarding the 18" gap along the apex of the roof (you've always gotta leave one part unfinished, right?) so you can see the insulation through the clear vaper barrier . You can also see the mice's 'home' on top of the vaper barrier (almost like a lovely soft hammock lol) and a 6" round hole where they'd chewed through the insulation from above. It was obviously very cosy for them up there for them! Each time I went into the shed, quietly, I could see them coming back and forth happily. It looked a bit like a human walking on a bouncy castle! So the little blighters were there every time I went into the shed - I reckon there were probably 6-8 of them.So anyway, I plugged the device into a socket in the shed and left. That was 11 days ago and I hadn't checked the shed since until today. Well, they're no longer there! Was it because of this device? I don't know - how can I be sure? I can't, but one can only look at the facts - I had a family of mice for maybe 2 months in my shed roof, who I saw and heard every time I went into the shed, but then plugged this in 11 days ago, just checked again after a couple of hours and still no mice!So unless it's a massive coincidence and they've moved (because they didn'y like the neighbours perhaps - US!), then I can only assume it is because this device actually does work. I will keep an eye on things and will update this review in due course.Still not happy though that they appear to have been used before and one practically doesn't fit any sockets!UPDATE 16 NOV: So a month on and still no mice in my shed, so unless it's a massive coincidence, these work and I'm very happy!

Everteco Ultrasonic Pest Repeller
For now, I'll only give it two stars, because as soon as I ordered this pest repeller, the sneaky pests stopped coming in. I bought it to repell slugs from invading my living room, but as I've said, when the repeller arrived, they stopped coming in. But at least I'll be ready for the next invasion, so i'm hoping this repeller will repel slugs. But I will send in another review as soon as I use it.

Don't like the product but the Company have excellent Customer Service
Has done nothing to deter mice, and having had professional Pest Control out I've been advised that these products are a waste of money and simply do not work. There are video's of mice actually sitting on top of the units! Avoid wasting your money on falsely advertised gimmicks. A return has been accepted thank you, so no complaints so far with customer service.Edited to add that to save me any further inconvenience, a full refund has been issued without the need for me to go to the Post Office. The Customer Service really is excellent so I've upgraded to 3 stars. I would most certainly order other products from this Company if they had what I was looking for at the time.
