This tells you if your machine is working.Make sure you have enough blood, it uses less but aim for more this will STOP the error readings thus saving you having to do it again!Great for anyone doing Keto! Especially if your at a plateau this helps you pinpoint errors or secret carbs!A great buy and after research this is the machine with the cheapest strips. ( in the U.K.)You get, machine ,travel bag , booklet, batteries and ketone bottle to test the machine accuracyjust put in the chip and do a test with the ketone test dropper ( to check for accurate readings ) and off you go. ( you have to do this with each new vile of strips, they come with their own micro chip)I haven’t had a issue with readings or error messages like the other people have and I’ve used 15 or more strips so far but I do make sure I have a bit of excess blood , it does take less than the usual amount needed on other machines but I never want to waste a strip! ( this kit doesn’t come with the lancet).Really helps me keep track of how I’m doing and let’s me know if I’m still in optimal Ketosis , helped no end.Good luck on your journey hopefully my review helped you! Able to test my blood glucose and ketones and the test strips are an affordable price, the device is easy to use though there are Youtube guides on how to setup it up if you are stuck.

Instructions not clear enough. For some reason using the On Call Plus Blood Glucose Test Strips and following the instructions all I get presented with is three dashes, MEM, and mmol/L. No help in the large instruction book despite following the setup and usage instructions

This is really easy to use. Very useful for checking progress on keto/low carb diet. Handy bit of kit.

I use this to monitor my blood ketones on my low carb diet to check if I'm in ketosis. Im very confident it is accurate, I have tested it thoroughly and it always reflects my ketone levels accurately depending on what I have eaten. I was dubious when buying it due to it getting a range of reviews online but I have found it nothing but accurate. If you are using this to test ketone levels it is worth it. I've not tried the glucose monitoring side of it yet.The machine will give an error if you don't use enough blood so you have to ensure you get a large drop of blood prepared first, which can be a bit painful for me because i have to jab quite deeply with the jabber. Aside from this, no other issues!

This product is brilliant where you want to test both your glucose and ketose in one nifty little device. Really impressed! I even had some ketone urine strips to compare the ketone readings against and this device is unsurprisingly slightly more accurate. Yes, there was a bit of reading before hand but there's also a quick guide as an alternative if you feel confident enough to get started right away. Number 3 on the lancing device is a good level which just feels like a deep scratch. It's the best thing if you don't want to fiddle between 2 different devices for glucose and ketone readings. It could only be topped by a device that wouldn't require you to change coding tabs and strips between readings for glucose readings and then for a ketone reading and would just give an immediate reading for both glucose and ketones from the one sample but, for the price of this small device, I am happy.
