I have now bought this reading light 3 times (first for myself, then 2 more for my daughters). It's fantastic- sturdy but not too heavy, amber light doesn't hurt your eyes, and the 3 dimming levels that make it perfect for reading in bed without bright light disturbing your partner. Perfect!

Before I begin, please note that I primarily use this light to read a physical book at night.Light Details:The light has 3 levels of brightness. All of them can be used to read a physical book just fine, depending on how much brightness you need. The light ranges from a soft orange to a sepia-ish orange. I found the light so soothing that without meaning to I fell asleep to it before getting far into my book.Battery Life:The battery and brightness can last a long time, especially without usage. Just as an example, I was hospitalized for two weeks not long after getting this light (no, the light didn't put me in the hospital, in case you were wondering, all of you over-thinkers). When I returned home the light still worked at the same level of brightness.Ease of Use:This light is easy to use and handle. You click the head to turn it on and then click the head again to adjust the brightness until it turns off. The light clips on to a book. You may have to adjust the position to your liking, as is the case with many book lights.Charging:This light also comes with a usb charger that makes charging the light quite easy.Flaws:Honestly, the only flaw I can think about is the length of the charging cable. Depending on your proximity to an outlet, it may be a tad on the shorter side.Would I Recommend this product?Yes. I highly recommend this product, especially for those looking for a simple book light. The light is a soothing color that is easy on the eyes. It's easy to use. The battery lasts long. And it's easy to charge. (Now I just need to find a new physical book to read at night and I'll be all set.)

I bought this light five years ago, and having used it countless times including last night, I just had to pull it up online and write a review for it. I love this little light. Yes, there are likely better ones available now (such as one that is worn around the neck that I may well buy), but this one simply has the versatility that makes it a great tool on the bedside table. Yes, it’s nice for reading in a dark room, which is handy when you don’t really want to turn on a 100-watt bulb at 3:00 in the morning. The amber light is perfect to read by and doesn’t hurt the eyes; you can choose between brightnesses. The clip is a bit cumbersome when attached to a book, and may need to be adjusted periodically, but it’s rigid and it works. Oftentimes, this light’s best feature just happens to be that clip, as when resting on the table, has the width and heft to hold the light upright like a tiny table lamp. This is so useful when waking up during the night to take a pill, find an aspirin, use the bathroom, or whatever else might rouse you out of the darkness. It’s soft light illuminates well and eliminates fumbling in the dark. You need only grasp the top and squeeze to turn it on, no little button to press. In the five years I’ve had it, I can’t even recall recharging it, but I suppose it’s possible I’ve charged it once. It’s compact and easy to travel with as well.

I love this light. Not only does it work well for reading sometimes we use it as a nightlight in the bedroom when one person goes to bed and the other person stays up. It’s a small subtle light to help someone see their way into the room. Who would’ve thought that our reading light would be so versatile. It’s really great that you can charge it and do not have to worry about batteries. Highly recommend.

I got this for use as task lights on a dimly lit DJ booth.The LED light is nice. I appreciate that it's only red light. The on/off button seems solid. The battery lasts at least 24 hours continuously. It will run when plugged in if the battery is dead. My only complaint is that the rubber on the movable clip slowly slides out of place when left clipped to a wider surface. I'd also want the gooseneck to be a little longer for my use but think it's perfectly fine for book reading.

awesome light that gets really bright and also really dim when needed. was worried that i would have to return it because the light would be too bright for nighttime reading, especially when next to someone else who's sleeping. but it works awesome, clamp is perfect, and really good form factor.could be used not just for reading, but also as a mini desk light (yes, it really does get that bright!)

This is an effective and convenient way to read and write in little or no ambient lighting. The absence of blue spectrum light avoids sleep quality issues.

I typically use a Hooga red light panel to illuminate my room and read with at night. However, it's on a timer and I am usually not ready for sleep yet. I used to have to go to a normal dimmable white light reading clip which always disturbed my eyes and would sometimes knock the sleepiness out of me. So my search began. I love my panel and I didn't realize Hooga made other light types. Well imagine my excitement finding this one. I absolutely love it. It's lighter than my old clip light, the neck is actually adjustable and stays in whatever position it's put in, being rechargable is an absolute game changer. When my panel goes off, I can flip this light on with no issues and no jarring myself awake. I even use it sometimes as a light when I have to wake up earlier than my spouse and am trying to get ready. Have already shared with friends and family recommending them to get one too.
