Needs effort to find the right settings - but effective pain relief is worth it
I've had this machine for a number of months now, and didn't want to review this until I had the chance to use it for a while. I saw a number of options for TENS machines when I was looking to purchase, and they started off cheap and went very high. This is my first foray into the TENS world and so I thought I'd start off with something a little simple, not too expensive in case it didn't work, and if it did work I could always experiment with other models later. This model has served me well, it comes with a nice carry case, some sticky pads which conduct the electricity, and the wires required to operate it. It also comes with a handy picture chart for placement of the pads depending on the location of the pain. I do believe that there could have been a little bit more of a comprehensive chart with recommended settings, it is all a bit complicated and a bit of Googling and Youtubing is needed in order to get the most out of the machine. Everybody is different and personal preference does have a part to play in this, but some basic settings to start with would be a good idea rather than being thrown into the deep end. That is my only criticism of this machine. It works extremely well for both acute and chronic pain, and the purpose this was bought for was to treat the effects of chronic pain from rheumatoid arthritis. Using this daily has made a lot of difference to the feeling of pain and has allowed the use of pharmaceuticals to be reduced significantly which is always a good thing. If this doesn't seem to be working for you, I'd say persevere first and foremost and look into what settings work for you, maybe some will be absolutely useless and others will work wonders. Here's a quick list to save you Googling like I did: Set the frequency to: 80 to 120Hz- acute pain, 35-50Hz-muscle stimulation, 2 to 10Hz – chronic pain Set the pulse width to between 175-200 Placement is important - you've got 2 channels and 4 pads - so 2 pads on each channel. Do check out youtube videos and pictures online to have a look at appropriate placement depending on areas of pain. My main advice would be first and foremost this is all you need to start with, and secondly to keep experimenting and trying. The science behind this is there and although there's nothing in this world that works for everybody, I do believe with enough experimenting and tinkering, you can find relief from various different types of pain with this machine, it is definitely worth a try.

Complete item.
This item is supposed to come with a flip top cover, IT HAS NOT COME WITH ONE, please send one. The machine is working fine at present however I will update in a week or two to let you know how it’s doing, it’s a bit expensive for a battery operated one, I thought it was a rechargeable one. However we’ll see how it goes.

Good WHEN It Works.
Straightforward to use however there are no recommended settings for different medical issues so you just have to tinker. The machine does work on my bad back and hips but unfortunately I've had to return my first one a couple of the electrodes sometimes don't work,I've tried the different in puts on the top and sometimes they work and other times don't. I've just received a replacement so hope this won't suffer from the same problem

Battery not the best
She I first got this item it was great but not had had it long ( and only use if outside walking ) and it’s stopped working so I’m presuming it’s the battery so I will have to buy a new and try it, fingers crossed that’s all it is.
